Can you tell me any product for shiny and frizz-free hair which i can get in India?Home remedies wel

I have straight hair. I am currently using Loreal anti-frizz, it's not working:(

Can you tell me any product for shiny and frizz-free hair which i can get in India?Home remedies welcomed.?

Well, for me i use garnier fructis shampoo for hard to straighten hair and garnier fructis hairspray on top. It's amazing, trust me! For shiny hair i use a small loreal spray which u just apply to ure hair and it makes it super shiny!

Can you tell me any product for shiny and frizz-free hair which i can get in India?Home remedies welcomed.?

Hi, to me, the simplest way for Shinny and Frizz-Free hairs which i am currently using too, is to use Shampoos like Head Shoulders (either regular Blue or Pink with Zinc) + Herbal Essences (for Dry Damaged Hair) regularly.

On the other side, Home remedy is that u use Yougart mixed with Egg and Hair Oil, and apply it to ur Hair Pores, and as it dries, then wash ur hairs.

I hope this will let u get Shinny and Healthy Hairs

璺疺inegar (for black, brown or red hair) - spary some on your hair then rince thourghly.

璺疞emon juice (for blond hair) - put some on your hair then rinse thourghly.

I HOPED THIS HELPED! :)

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

The instructions given in it's box is all in French and I don't understand any thing of it.

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

Home colourants do not contain enough peroxide to lighten dark hair to anything other then orange. If you want to lighten your hair yourself and it has not been dyed already, you can use a high lift tint. A high lift tint is a cream that you mix with a peroxide (both available at your local Sallys). I would recommend shade 6 or 7 mixed with 12% 40 vol peroxide. A high lift tint will lighten your hair 5 shades without the harsh effects of bleach. If you choose to bleach your hair, consult a professional.

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

You shouldn't. You shouldn't try to mess your hair into being blonde from dark brown at home. See a professional before you turn orange!

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

Please don't do it yourself. You want to jump too many shades. I've heard you shouldn't try to dye your hair more than a shade or two lighter. So you could do a lighter brown safely. Please go to a professional. They have the right products and experience to make sure it comes out exactly how you wanted. Welcome to the blondes :)

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

omg no!!!!

it will turn your hair purple...

if you are going to do that either go get it done professionally where they will do it right or do it in steps....

you can not just go from a dark color to a light color....go from dark to a little less dark then a little less then light.

sounds stupid and it might not be the case for you but trust me...it has happened

How should I apply Loreal color (7blond)to my hair which is now dark brown?

yeah definitly going from dark brown to blond..you need to see a professional!!! your hair will be orange you will pay more but it will definitly be worht it....you would probably end up at a salon after you dyed your hair anyway...

(#) Summa Blonde (#)?

Afta several dying disasters from dark brown to ginger (im naturally dak blonde) im at a ashy medium blonde with light sections

I havnt dyed it in a few months and I would love to have baby blonde hair (even light ash blonde) are there any dyes that wont make my hair go ginger (as have done in the past)

I been using loreal .. what brands do you recommend.

thanks :D:D:D

(#) Summa Blonde (#)?

Make`sure you keep it Red`baby` i dig it the Most`

(#) Summa Blonde (#)?

Sorry ,no clue.

(#) Summa Blonde (#)?

if you can afford it go see a professional hair stylist, i use to mess around with myhair color, until i found the girl who does my hair, i have dark blonde hair mixed with light brown, so i get highlites to add some additional blonde, especially around the frame of my face, and she also adds brown lowlites, this was it looks even and natural, i love it and it will last for 4 months! good luck, and remember to use good shampoo for color treated hair and a EXCELLENT conditioner

(#) Summa Blonde (#)?

If your hair is going ginger when you color it, that means that the product you are using cannot lighten your hair to the desired blonde shade.

I recommend going to a professional to have this done or go to a local beauty supply store. If you want to do this yourself you will likely need two products.

The first product will be a bleaching agent which can potentially cause a lot of damage to your hair, especially if your hair is fine. This product would have to be timed very carefully. You would put the bleach on your hair and leave it on until the desired degree of lighteness is achieved.

At this stage after you rinse you might look like a lemon head. Like I said, you'll need two products for good results. The bleach will remove pigment, next you need a product that will deposit pigment of the desired shade into your hair.

Choose the shade of haircolor that you want. This is the point at which a box of loreal could do the job but since you're at the beauty supply place anyway get a professional product from there. The mixing will likely be very similar to what you did with the loreal although you may have to do some measuring too.

Let the color process for the recommended time and then rinse and follow up with a good conditioner. You will need to use a good professional shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair looking good.

The drawback to doing this all over bleach/color thing is that you are going to have horrible roots when it starts to grow out. You may want to go with blonde highlights instead. To do this yourself you'll need to pick up a highlighting cap at the beauty supply and have a friend pull some strands of your hair through the cap. Then you can proceed with the bleaching/coloring/conditioning process. At the end when you remove the cap you'll have blonde highlights in your hair and your roots won't be so obvious as your hair grows.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Has anyone ever used Loreal Color Rays?

Im wanting to bleach my hair, like white white not just blonde and I found this hair color called White Blow Out by Loreal Color Rays, it is supposed to be able to color over any hair color. Has anyone used it before? If so what did you think of your results? Anyone suggest any other products to use, Im pretty much up for trying anything.

Has anyone ever used Loreal Color Rays?

No i've never used it. Good luck though

: )

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i

what can i do to make it really blond? i don't like it orange....

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

I did exactly the same thing to my hair...nothing you yourself can do will fix it. The best advice I can give is go to a professional.

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

Go to a hair salon and get your hair stripped... or try to dye it at home... but i would go to the salon

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

go buy BLONDISSMAS!!!!!!DO THAT THEN PUT A BLOND HAIR DYE ON AFTER!!

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

You can go over it with bleach again. just be very careful!!!

Do not leave the bleach on for long, just until you get the color you would like. Make sure to use alot of deep conditioning treatments to help repair your hair.

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

Im 15 i need i want to get a new look for the summer! im going to get layers and dye my hair. So which do i do first? Im going to put light brown highlights in my hair and red brown streaks too. Do i dye my hair first or cut it first? We are not going to a hairstylest for her to color my hair only for the haircut i want my hair to look like this http://us.lorealprofessionnel.com/_en/_u... so what hair highlights is the closest to this? i have dark brown hair pic of me %26gt; http://360.yahoo.com/profile-tbWlQOghcrW...

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

Get the cut then the color. I would let a stylist do the color too.

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

cut it first!!! because you may want to dye your hair were it's on the edges or something like that. trust me, cut it first!

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

dye it and then cut it.

it will keep your new good ends for getting ruined

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

Dye it and then cut it. That way you can cut your hair around the way you dyed it because it won't always turn out the same.

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

You dye your hair first and then cut it so you know that your ends are evenly dyed.

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

cut it then dye it so you don't waste dye and you can get more dye in for a better look.

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

well my mom is actully a hairdresser and she recomends coloring and then cutting! but its your hair and you need 2 feel good about your dission. you could also go talk to some hair dressers! or go look at some hair hair magazines they usually have techniques for popular summer hair or get a hair cut u like cut it out and show it to your hair dresser (inclouding the color u want). and are just some of the things i could do!

if u look at the link it kinda looks like the color u want!

Help me!!!!!!!!!!!?

Cut it first and then dye it. Once you have the style cut into your hair you will know better where the high lights should be placed. Hope you get what I mean. Good luck and hope your hair turns out fab.

I need help please?

my hair is dark brown, close to black. I tried lightening it with Loreal Les True Brunettes UL51. (The least lightening) Well, i washed it out and my hair is only a tad lighter. Should i try the next shade lighter?

I need help please?

try it ! the things that you buy off the rack are not very strong and if you really want to lighten it go to sallys beauty supply store and find a hair lightener or ask one of the employees Good luck !

Luv much

I need help please?

It wouldn't hurt to try again..a pale blonde could always lighten it..

If you wanna go a lot lighter though..just bleach it and dye it what ever color you'd like. At home bleach kits are only like..eight dollars at wal mart

I need help please?

yay i finally get to share a hair secret. Put lemon juice in your hair and layout in the sun for full effect!!

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

A while back I had my hair done professionally and it was platinum blonde. I am a natural blonde just not that light. Well, as my roots started coming in it was getting pretty bad. I wanted to dye it just back to my natural color because I am pregnant and don't want to have to keep doing it over again. Well, I used Loreal Couleur Experte 8.2 which is one of the lighter shades. The top of my hair looks great where I did the highlights however in the front toward the bottom my hair is GREY or purplish depending on the light. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I have tried a blonde shampoo and even some of that John Frieda hair glaze stuff. Nothing is working. I looks a little better but it is still really noticeable. Especially when I show up to work, I was platinum on Friday and grey on Monday.... I can just hear the "blonde who dyed her hair gray" jokes. Please Help!!! I went to their website to get the number but something is wrong with the website and it won't go to the help pag

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

If your husband threw out the box bring a piece of paper with you to the store and write down the number :P And if it looks that bad you just might have too buy more dye.

Good luck :)

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

I haven't had good results with Couleur Experte. The highlights were fried, fried, fried.

You could go to a salon, if one is open.

I would isolate the highlights that you like and then re-dye the rest in a soft brown.

TX Mom

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

First of all, let me just say that I totally sympathize with your situation. I've been there. For a while I dyed my hair a really light blonde by myself, but then when I started experimenting with different shades and brands and highlights and lowlights, I consequently got uneven color. Some of my hair looked blonde, some of it looked sort of orange, and some of it looked -- you guessed it! -- gray! Of course, I panicked because when I did this dye job it was a school night, so I begged my mom to take me to the 24-hour Walgreen's.

What I ended up doing was buying a box of color stripper and a box of hair dye that was a few shades darker than what I had been sporting. If you decide to use a color stripper, I must warn you about a few things.

1. First and foremost, read ALL the directions and warnings before you start mixing anything.

2. EXPECT your hair to turn bright orange or yellow! It will NOT return your hair to its original color. Bummer, I know.

3. You HAVE to use this product in a well-ventilated area -- especially since you're pregnant. DO NOT think that your bathroom is a good place just because it has an exhaust fan. In fact, if at all possible, walk around outside after using the color stripper.

4. Leave the color stripper on for the maximum time that it recommends for your hair color/type. I know it's hard to be patient when your hair starts turning bright orange/gold, but leaving it on for the specified time is key to successful color stripping!

5. Finally, rinse, Rinse, RINSE!

Once you're done with the color stripper, follow all the directions for the hair dye EXACTLY, paying special attention to the time chart. Since your hair has a gray tint to it, you don't want to pick a color that has "ash" in it (i.e., cool tones). Additionally, since you will have just stripped your hair, don't go with something that has too many warm tones in it either. Try to find a color that says "natural tones" on it.

If all of this sounds like too much work and too unpredictable, and the thought of stripping your hair scares you, then try putting your hair up in a French twist or a bun on Monday -- and schedule an appointment for the hair salon ASAP!

I hope my advice helps!

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

for halloween i have a blonde wig and i want to put some light brown highlights in it.. can i use hair dye such as loreal, will it work and show up?

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

on human hair wigs yes, not on synthetic ones...dont know what it is, take a small amount of strands and burn um, if they draw up fast like a cartoon and melt then it's synthetic, if it doesnt but smells kinda like burnt food its probably human...

if its synthetic use one of dem hair color sprays..the kind in an aersol type can...u might find the same thing at the costume store or whereever u got the wig from...hav a fun n safe halloween

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

No don't waste your time or money. Just go buy another wig the color of your choice. Plus it's messy!

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

Yep!

I did red hair w/ white and blue highlights!

I was being miss america!

But my sister loves to dye wigs- its great practice before you ruin your own hair!

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

Only if the wig is made of human hair, otherwise,

the dye might damage the wig.

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

If you dye your hairs, you will remember this Halloween for long time

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

lmao dude y the hell did u buy that wig in the first place then!!? just go buy another color lol....

Can you use hair dye on a wig??

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

Hi i want to dye my hair tonight bu it says i have to test if i'm allergic or anithing to it before. i have to keep it on for 2 days!!!!! i no quite a few people who have left the tester and had no reaction. should i jus leave it or do it or jus leave it on for a couple of hours. please helpxx

p.s. i am usin loreal hair dye

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

If you don't tend to have allergic reactions to things like cleansers, makeup, etc, you'll probably be fine. I never do those tests - I doubt many people do. Have fun!

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

yes be sure you do

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

i have dyed my hair a few times and never have i done the hair tester for more than a few hours...... do you have a lot of allergies? if you dont i dont think you should worry - i wouldnt anyways

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

think they mean to leave 2 days between doing tester and dying you hair to see if you have reaction, not leave it in for 2 days.

Answer If you've had your hair coloured before I don't see a need once you follow instrctions.

If it is your first colour it's a bit more risky, but I'd do it once you've not be allergic to other products like skin care products.

Look at it this way if you went into the hairdresser they wouldn't do a tester, because you might not come back!!

The people who make product are just covering their back, like when garments say hand wash only when you know you could throw in machine.

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

yes you should always do a tester first, you can have a reaction at anytime, not just the first time.

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

they only ask you to do this so that they can be covered legally

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

I'm a hairdresser and I think you should do a test cause if this is your first time doing your hair then yes, what color are you doing?

If your going blond then A BIG NO NO for home dyes, you WILL go orange if your hair is brown.

If your a dark blond then OK do a test and see how it goes but like I said dark hair will go orange cause home products don't have enough stuff to really lift the hair.

Go to a salon if you want to go blond.

If you are going to go darker then remember with going dark, the colors work really fast and if you leave it on too long you could go black so keep an eye on your color when you do a test so you know the time its been on.

Hope this helps?

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

if uve used loreal hair dyes in the past, no u dont have to do the test, but it is in the best interest to do the test as cant make some people really ill. to be honest with u i never do the test now as ive dyed my hair afew times and has been ok everytime, but i did do the test the first time i dyed my hair! hope that helps and good luck with it.

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

i think that you should wait a little while longer to make really sure that you are not allergic to it. cause the symtoms might not show up right away so there fore you would not know if you were allergic to it or not. another solution that i can give you is that you could make a doctors appoientment amd when you get there you can ask your doctor if you are allergic tom it he/she will be able to look at your record book and be able to tell you if you are allergic to it or not and if they say that you are allergic to it then you re going to be in big trouble if you do put it on and you will be in a lot of pain.

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

OK - simple. If you have NEVER dyed your hair before, buy two boxes (yes, spend the extra money). One will be for the hair dye test (you have to throw away what you don't use afterwards). Keep the other box and after a day see how it looks. Most people do not have a reaction, but I tell you, if you pick a color that doesn't look good or reacts weird to your hair, you will be much sorrier than the person who get the allergy. After this first time, you will be good to go. Promise.

Should i do a hair dye tester??????

You shouldn't leave it on for two days?you should always do a strand test before colouring your hair

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

last month my hairdresser pre lighterned my hair for me, as i used a chocolate brown box colour and suprise suprise it made my hair go a really ugly flat black gothy colour! so we pre lighterned and got it to a yellowy colour. i left it for a week (seemed forever!) and then when it was in better condition put nice n easy golden brown over the colour. it took really well and looked fab. but since ive washed my hair five or six times since its faded to a really light redish brown. my clip in extensions are chocolate brown and i pratically live in them, but they dont match my hair so i want to sort it asap!

i know i've probably dried my hair out with all the bleach and colours, but i reeeally need my choc brown hair back! i realise that this is the bleach coming through, so my question is. do i use one of the loreal gloss semi perm colours, or just use a few more perm dyes until it stays brown, also - are semi perm hair dyes less harsh and dont make your hair go much darker then the box?

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

Hi right first things first, semi permenants are better for your hair than permentants anyday.

As for the the dye washing out to a reddy colour this is because like you said its the bleach coming throught underneat and also the goldness showing thorugh from the colour it has mixed in with the hair dye you put on. No permenant hair dye last for more than too weeks and you will always experiance it fading out to a orangy colour, So in the long run its easeir and better for your hair to use a semi permentant as these las just as long and wash out, so say if you wanted to go a different colour, you would just have to wait for it too wash out rather than have to get it stripped out all over again. If you had the chcolate brown put on over your prelightened hair it will be very hair to get the exact same colour again, unless you prelighten and start again which is not a good idea for you hair at all.

If you ever ever get a hair dye and think its too dark you will get used to if after about a week and it will also fade to a light brown over time. and you wont get a reddy colour so soon afterwards.

I dyed my hair with Live colours bitter sweet chocolate and im not kidding you its black with tones of a chcoclate brown colour, after anout 3 weeks the black had faded and I had my chocolate brown colour I wanted.

As long as you keep dyeing your either a permenat or semi, most of the times you hair extensions wont even match as like you have witnessed hair colour fades and your hair colour on your hair extensions doesnt.

I would recommend you using the semi as if you want to keep the colour then get the chcolate brown colour as close as you can get it too you hair extensions, it might take a few goes as like it says on the box depending on the colour of your hair as it is no, is to what colour that hair dye will go. If you manage to get the colour, it wont matter if you use a semi permenanat hair dye as you can just keep applying as soon as it fades, and it wont be permenat so the colour wont be sticking to the prevous permenant hair colour you have applyied which is when you will notice the problems start.

I have just used a nice and easy 6-8 wash ones as im trying to grow my hair ou and im in the last stages where I can cope with colour as the Live colour hair dye is washing out loads and Im getting my orange deep red bits again from where I prelightened it ages ago. I didnt want to put a permenant one on as from just using the Live colour one my hair was wrecked. So I got a dark brown in the nice and easy applyed it yesterday and its a brilliant colour, and if it last 6-8 washes if your no one of those people that wash there hair everyday just every other day then it should last up to 4 weeks which is way longer than out of a normal permenant hair dye.

A word of warning though nice and easy does go on dark but after a few washed it willl be light. Casting are also very good or movida you will find these go like they say on the box. if you get the right on for you hair,

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

brunette sux red is better so if u want it brunette make it hazel brunette cause hazel brunette is the only good brunette but red is better so watevs Report It

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

When you wash your hair use warn water not hot i always wash with warm or luke warm good luck

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

That happened to me when i died my hair dark brown.. I think its just what happens when you use cheap hair dye from the shops! If you want it to stay longer your should get it died at the hair dressers.. and also use a shampoo and conditioner that is specialised for dyed hair! xXx

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

buy a fade defy shampoo and conditioner they work really really well and you hair will grow out before it fades out.

You can find these in your supermarket and they not very expencive either.

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

You need to use semi permenant dye only. Select a light ash brown, as ash will help counteract red. Don't be scared it will go the wrong color, you have my assurance it will not. You may need to do this every once in a while. Dyed brown hair has a tendancy to fade to red, because it is brown's "underlying pigment".

My brown dye keeps fading to browny red !?

i think you should go 2 shades darker or go back to the hairdresser an get them to fill your hair then colour it. when they fill your hair they put a pigment spray onto it then colour it.

How do i make curls without hairspray?

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

I have dark hair and get very noticeable grays hairs VERY often! I simply can not afford to go to the salon for root touch ups every two weeks but coloring my hair so often at home has really started to damage my it. Anyone know of a good moisturizing, gentle brand of hair color? I have used several different brands mostly loreal. Any other suggestions??

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

Clarol ( ? spelling) sells one it's

nice ' n easy root touch up

they give you just enough dye for the roots

%26amp; this way you do not cause damage to the

rest of your hair

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

I would suggest waiting until the damaged hair has healed before putting more color into it. Adding color to damaged hair will only make the problem worse. Get a trim and deep conditioning treatment to fix the damaged hair.

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

I love love love Feria. I dye my hair black and it comes with Anti-MAtte conditioner, Wonderful stuff! I have really dry dead ends and the hair color and the conditioner make my hair so soft and sleek. Not to mention super shiny.

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

you shouldn't color your hair if it is damaged. You will cause more damage to it then it was before. you should use a restoring shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Then you should go back to the salon and color your hair. you should base your brands off of the type of hair you have not the color you want. I say not to dye your hair balck because it will get more damaged and don't dye it blonde either..

I hoped i helped....

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

Professional or nothing.

And haircolor is how your hair got damaged in the first place. So slow down or you might kill it and have to cut it off or it will fall out itself. Try just a root touch up kit. Start living with your grays until your hair gets better. Try a deep moisturizer in the shower. And get a trim often to take out the already dead hair as the new hair grows in.

Dead hair is not in, nor is it sexy.

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

um i really wouldnt suggest coloring it any more. um ther is this shampoo thet is suppose to revese heat and coloring damage. gray hair can kinda be sexy. don't worry about it.

Best hair color to use on damaged hair?

Don't color your hair anymore, it will only make it worse. Go to a professional salon and ask them what the best thing is to do. I would stick to a color treated hair shampoo that is for dry and damaged hair.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

Loreal, Garnier Fructis and Herbal Essences?

I recently got highlights in my hair (no bleach) and am debating if i should wash it today. The last time i washed it was the day before yesterday... and I want to wash it today but I heard washing it too much with "cheap brands" will strip them right off? So would Loreal Vive! be cheap? And if so, what do you recommend I use? I was thinking Biolage, is that a good one?

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

When I think of cheap brands, I immediately think of Pantene, which is awful and coats your hair in wax. If you want to stay away from cheap, then go for something you can only get in a salon. But honestly, I have tried various shampoos and Garnier Fructis is hands down the best shampoo I've used on my hair. And it smells great too!

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

Use Herbal Essences or Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

its shouldn't take the colour out, it may fade it a little bit, but not totally remove it

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

anything you can get at the grocery store or Walmart is considered cheap. Go to an inexpensive hair salon if you worried about cost. You can usually get a promotional shampoo/conditioner of better quality for around $15. Yes, you are safe to wash your hair.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

I don't think they're cheap brands. My favorite shampoo and conditioner is Garnier Fructis!

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

I don't think they are cheap brands. I use L'Oreal Vive %26amp; I love it. Herbal Essences actually keeps my hair healthy - my stylist noticed how much healthier it looked after using it. I'm not the biggest fan of Garnier Fructis though.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

No they are not cheap. It's highlights they are supposed to go they dont stay on forever.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

Yes, they are the lower price hair product.

Any salon product would be ok for you if you have normal hair. I use Mario Tricoci just because I get my hair cut and color there.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

They have shampoo's for dyed hair, and blonde hair, to keep the color locked in. Check into those if your really concerned about keeping your coloring intact, and as healthy as you can. Go to any hair salon and ask, they usually have them in the store and you can buy them there. Some are even sold at Walmart.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

i love Biolage. do not get loreal vive, i hated it.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

Loreal would be a good one to use. Make sure you buy the shampoo for colored hair. You can also buy Nexxus at retail stores now and it's far from a "cheap brand".

I would suggest that you go to a salon and buy from there. With the better quality shampoos, you use less.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

Ok, so here's the scoop. There aren't really any brands that are considering shockingly cheap. I mean, there are, but that kind of narrows it down to a few. Shampoos do different things. Some give you volume or a nice lift, and others are for dandruff. Either way, the main principle of shampoo is that it cleans your hair. For you, because of your highlights, I would strongly reccomend that you use a shampoo especially for colored or treated hair. It doesn't really even have to be a special, expensive brand...just one that has color treated written on it. I know L'oreal has shampoos like that and if you want, you can buy an expensive brand. It really is up to you and what you want for your hair!

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

I like Garnier. Herbal essence just smells good. Try infusium. nexxus too, espescially Humectress Conditoner. It will Change your life lol

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

pureology, redkin, paul mitchell are some of the better brands. and unless you got really crapy highlights they shouldn't drasticly fade in one wash, it should happen gradually. i wouldn't buy any shampoos from wal-mart or rite-aid go to a place that sell professional products that you can trust, because you never know the kind of reaction those knock offs are going to have on your colored hair.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

No, those aren't consider cheap brands. Suave and White Rain are examples of cheap shampoos. Your highlights should stay. Use L'Oreal or Garnier the Dove line, John Frieda, etc. Some of the so-called cheap products are just as good as the expensive, I use Alberto quite a bit. Right now I'm using John Frieda. It's pretty much trial and error when it comes to shampoo. Just don't use any dandruff shampoos such as Head and Shoulders or Sebulex, they can strip color from the hair.

Are these considered "Cheap brands"?

the color shouldn't come out right away it might tone down but thats it

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

why do people switch their shampoos and conditioners? i dont have damaged hair but i use shampoos and such that r for damaged and dry hair. is that bad for my hair? i switch off from neurogena triple moisture shampoo and conditioner, the new loreal pink vive pro shampoo and conditioner, the john frieda briliant brunette shampoo and conditioner. r these good shampoos and conditioners? oh yea i also use the triple moisture neutrogena hair mask once a week to make my hair shiny and soft.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

people switch their shampoo/conditioners to see what one they like and does what they want them to do. like you, you switch cause you like the shampoo/conditioner for the day and do something different the next day to give your hair a different feel to it,i do it and want you are doing is good for your hair.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

Just like your body adjusts to medication, your hair adjusts to shampoos. It's best to rotate your shampoo/conditioners every other week.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

All shampoos are essentially the same.

Your hair doesn't need time to "adjust" to a shampoo, that's a myth.

It'll clean your hair and do whatever else it advertises.

So whatever shampoo you choose is fine.

I'm partial to John Frieda, I like it because it doesn't weigh my hair down and makes it soft.

Haven't used the other two, though.

Grrr!!! Don't you hate it when you post a Q and get no answers! Semi-permanent on blonde?

Alrighty, I've used semi-permanents before and they've washed out, but I've never used black. People with experience in this category: Would black semi wash out of dark blonde/light brown natural hair?

Also...do the semi's turn your hair to rubber like the permanent ones do? ( I think its loreal that does it?) I've had this happen before :S No fun!

Grrr!!! Don't you hate it when you post a Q and get no answers! Semi-permanent on blonde?

Black semi-permanent hair dye WILL wash out of dark blonde/light brown hair eventually .... but it's the time in between it that will be the least about of fun.

You'll have that nice, rich black color for a few weeks, then your hair will probably fade to medium brown and then to light brown. Semi-permanent won't turn your hair to "rubber" ... try an at-home kit with no ammonia or something. It's much easier on your hair.

Grrr!!! Don't you hate it when you post a Q and get no answers! Semi-permanent on blonde?

black hair dye will fade from your blonde/light brown hair eventually. it'll probably be a nice rich, gorgeous black for a couple weeks (i'd say two to three) and then fade to a dark brown and after about another week or two be a light or medium brown.

i know you were talking about semi-permanent hair dye, but i'd like to suggest clairol's natural instincts dye which is a demi-permanent which means you'd need to re-dye it more often (but, at least where i live, it costs 3 to 4 dollars less than the other brands) but it doesn't have ammonia so it's not as harsh on your hair, which is good if you're going to keep it black for a while and have to re-dye it ever few weeks.

Switching out shampoos and conditioners?

why do people switch their shampoos and conditioners? i dont have damaged hair but i use shampoos and such that r for damaged and dry hair. is that bad for my hair? i switch off from neurogena triple moisture shampoo and conditioner, the new loreal pink vive pro shampoo and conditioner, the john frieda briliant brunette shampoo and conditioner. r these good shampoos and conditioners? oh yeai also use the triple moisture neutrogena hair mask once a week to make my hair shiny and soft.

Switching out shampoos and conditioners?

If you don't have damaged hair and you use damaged/dry hair shampoo, it will not harm your hair at all. It will keep your hair moisturized and healthy. And it is good to switch off shampoos and conditioners because if you use one set for a while, then your hair will get used to the shampoo %26amp; conditioner and not work as great as it did the first few times you used it. Your hair needs different kinds of protein, and different shampoos have different kinds of proteins in them, so since you keep switching like that all the time, then you are giving your hair top treatment!

Switching out shampoos and conditioners?

Your hair gets used to shampoo and conditioner, and it stops working the same way it did the first few times you used it. Different shampoos and conditioners have different ingredients and work in different ways. To get maximum results, use a clarifying shampoo every 4th or 5th shampoo, or keep doing what you're doing and switch here and there. As long as the shampoos you're using are working for your hair, there's nothing wrong with store brands, just no pantene, suave or white rain please!!!

Dye my hair burgundy red?

i have black natural hair and i want to dye my hair burgundy red but i dont want to bleach my hair or lighten it. if i used loreal colour rays red and leave it on for less than when it tells me to leave on will the red be darker?

Dye my hair burgundy red?

The dye won't take unless you strip your hair. I would go to a professional to do this. If you do it the way you plan, I would expect maybe a red cast, but it'll wash out. Go to a salon, unless you can deal with a mistake.

Dye my hair burgundy red?

Unless the color has some "lift" to it, it will only add a burgandy sheen to your black hair. Which would actually be pretty cool.

Dye my hair burgundy red?

I've tried the same things with the exact same colors. It DOESN'T work! lol You would have to get it done professionally.

From black hair to brown hair?

So, I just died my hair natural medium brown from loreal. It said on the box that you could go from black to this color. everything except twoo inches of my roots are black. rotts are dark brown. my roots dyed but the rest stayed as black as when i started. how do i achieve the medium brown that covers my root. HOW DO I GO FROM BLACK TO MEDIUM BROWN!!!! please help

From black hair to brown hair?

Black Hair Is VERY Difficult To Lighten As You Have Seen. The Roots Lightened Because Of Body Heat From The Scalp Which Accelerated The Process. At This Point I Would Advise You Go For Professional Help.

From black hair to brown hair?

go to a professional that is there job

From black hair to brown hair?

I don't know, but you might want to be very careful. My friend tried it, and her hair ended up being very bright orange.

From black hair to brown hair?

go to a salon and get it done proffesionally

From black hair to brown hair?

go to hair salon =p it is easier that way and no cleaning up at the end

From black hair to brown hair?

the same thing happened to me when i tried to go lighter. just wait a few weeks and dye it again unless you can't wait. but the next time you dye, leave it in for like an hour or twice as long as it says to on the box. when washing out the dye, use the conditioner it comes with and don't shampoo like usual

How much loreal developer 20 do i mix with the Loreal Preference color?

i have dark hair already, but i want a blue/black to kind of reflect off my hair. do you guys think it will show? my hair is black, shoulder length. i just recently purchaced Loreal preference ONYX SHEEN, how much of the Loreal Developer 20 do i mix in with it? how many once of each?

How much loreal developer 20 do i mix with the Loreal Preference color?

Hmmm. The directions should be on the box-even if it is a pro color. Most colors are equal parts color to peroxide. Ex 2oz of color to 2oz of peroxide, but some color lines mix a little different.

There should be info on the product somewhere. It's kinda important to mix it the way it tells you to or it may not work right. Is there a number you can call on the box?

You should be able to see the bluish tint in the light, but it may not be super noticable since your hair is already dark. Won't know til you try it. Good luck!

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

Will someone explain to me why beige blonde is "cool" without the seeming green tones that appear in ash blonde "cool" colors. And is it possible to get say a dark blonde color with a cool tone that isn't a little bit green? I've colored my hair with loreal couleur experte 9.2 creme brule...which is light beige blonde. Would like about same color only in a dark blonde. It wasn't yellow or green. Maybe more of a soft golden?

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

Cool colors have a blue/green base. Out of a box, you can't control HOW much. Go to a reputable salon where your color will be personalized to create the right color for you without overdoing it on the blue/green tones. The reason there are blue/green in cool colors, is because these cancel warmth in hair (red/orange/yellow) Complimentary colors on color wheel. At a salon, they will determine exactly how much ash base, or warmth you need in your color. Sounds to me that you are now looking to be a neutral dark blonde though. This would be about a Level 7. Best to go to a salon...... but if you are doing it at home, use 1/2 7N, and 1/2 7G.... The reason you are going to use 1/2 Gold, is because now you need to cancel the ash base to get back to neutral. Apply to your roots for 15, and pull through, and comb through your ends for another 15 minutes. Good luck. Hope this helps

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

yup

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

I always colored my hair myself and it was never right, my neice is now a color specialist with hair cuttery, and does my hair all the time. IT is so much nicer and everyone compliments my highlights. She's always doing something different, usually darker undercolor and blonde highlights, she swears that the foil method is the best, and I agree. Consult with a specialist!

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

no its your wish but i am telling u will not look good .

AYEO

Is it possible to get a dark cool blonde without green tones?

im a brunette. i used brilliant brunette shampoo, and sure it costs a fiver a bottle, but my hairs looks like it's been coloured because it brings out all my tones.

Where Can I Find....?

Where can i find a picture of the girl from the loreal texturize commercials, the one with the longish kinda dirty blond hair

i want to get my hair cut like that and i need a picture also what do u think of the cut...THANKS! bye

Where Can I Find....?

Hi, here's what you do. Go into google or yahoo image search. Key in hair styles or whatever you're looking for. Voila, you now have thousands of photographs to choose from. Most images link to a website for more information.

Where Can I Find....?

Give us more detail, theres ALOT of girls like that in plenty of commercials.

Drug store Haircolour.......?

As anyone with natural dark brown to black hair ever tried using the blond hair colour (e.g nice %26amp; easy..Loreal etc) What were your results? I know that I wouldnt achieve the same blond as the girl outside the box. On the side of box they show a before and after ...and brown to dark comes out a brownish tone..Does this work on dark coloured hair?

Thanks in adv ladies :-)

Drug store Haircolour.......?

Drug store boxed haircolors have metallic salts in them, making it very hard on your hair. With your dark hair you have natural underlaying pigments in your hair which are reds and oranges. Those colors will pull through when using box colors. I would go to a professional or a salon to hair your hair highlighted. You can still achieve a nice lighter brown or carmel colors. Depending on how much you want to spend, some higher class salons could get you looking pretty blonde. All in all, save your hair and go to a professional!!

Drug store Haircolour.......?

you shouldnt die it. it will make your hair dull, thinning, and dry in 2 years after using hair dies.

love your hair the way God gave it to you.

Drug store Haircolour.......?

My friend has used it to get her hair blonde, but the most if ever did was just get it this brassy/yellow blonde. She had dark brown almost black hair too. Plus like the ladies said up there, it'll damage your hair alot more. Goto a salon and get some highlights or something, under 100 =)

Drug store Haircolour.......?

if your hair is very dark, dying it blond in one shot is a very bad idea. 99% chance it'll turn green. You have to gradually lighten the shades of your hair-or bleach away that color in one shot-then apply the dye .

Drug store Haircolour.......?

Why is my hair color fadding out?

recently i dyed my hair espresso from Loreal Feria. The color is permanant and it's supposed to last. But my color is already fadding out, and now its light/ash brown. i wash my hair every 3 days so the color wouldn't fade, and i havnt used any lemon/peroxide or any of that stuff.

why is this happening and how can i prevent it 4 next time that i dye my hair espresso again??

thanks sooo much %26lt;33

Why is my hair color fadding out?

did u have your hair very blonde before hand?? Colours do fade even with the most permeanent dyes i know well as i work in hairdressing. Also seeing as it wasnt profesionally dyed and dyed using a home diy kit this can cause it to fade much quicked than if it was in a salon. You say u wash your hair every few days also so colour can fade after time. Also you may have very resistant hair that doesnt grab onto colour when it is applied, next time try using a more intennce colour that way your hair will have some colour to really grab onto. Even try using a shade darker than u want so that if the colour does fadeu will eventually get the colour u desire.

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Sorry but I have no idea. Contact the company who sold it to you.

Why is my hair color fadding out?

make sure you don't wash your hair the morning that you dye it so there is nothin in it. other than that some times you just get a dud... good luck next time

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Maybe the sun is causing your hair color to fade out.

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Your hair might not be the the right texture, My hair has done that to me before.

I just complained and and asked for your money back

Why is my hair color fadding out?

it could be because that's the kind it is like that it fades out on its own or if its toward the top of your head then it is new growth which is when your hair grows back in..but if its not either of those two then it might have been applied wrong or not on long enough...hope i was help!

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Try Lock in Colour Shampoo, or try Espresso to chocolate Shampoo And Conditioner By John Frieda, My Hair is Around that Colour Mine Lasts for up to Six Weeks.

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Hair will fade slightly and thats normal. Your hair color will never stay the same like right after you colored it. The sun could make it fade, and it could also be the shampoo and conditioner you're using. Make sure you're using a colored treated shampoo. The Wella preserve color shampoo and conditioner is good. It preserves hair color 78% longer and my friend uses it and swears by it, so if you wanna check into that. I gave you a link below... you can find all kinds of sites with that shampoo online.

Why is my hair color fadding out?

i duno really

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Because you diddn't get it done professionally it will wear out eventually. But, if it washed out too fast here are some tips for next time.

1.) Don't wash your hair for about a day after dieing

2.) Follow the instructions very carefully, and make sure all hair is colored

3.) You might want to experiment with other brands some might work better on your hair than others

Hope this helps :)

Why is my hair color fadding out?

well there r diffrent reasons for change of hair's colour...like using certain chemicals...chemicals wz long use change the real hair's colour...so how about the dye....%26amp;if u put oils in ur hair ..it'll change it too..i think u should try sunsilk colour bost...it makes the colour stays %26amp;shines....or try anyother thing that keeps ur colour safe..go to a pharmacy %26amp;ask...

don't upset urself with the change of ur colour....i bet it look good too:-)

Why is my hair color fadding out?

Hair color fades naturally. It could be too much sun exposure, you may be using too harsh a shampoo.

I'd consider investing in some color depositing shampoo - Artec makes some great ones - and always cover up with a hat or scarf when you're in the sun!

Also, when you're in the shower, use only COOL or LUKEWARM water in your hair. Hot water is notorious for making hair color fade faster.

Good luck!

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

Does expensive shampoo work better than normal shampoos that you buy at a local store (brands like: Pantene, Loreal, Garnier, Hebal Essence, etc) Do they actually make your hair all nice, or is it just a waste of money? Have YOU tried expensive shampoo? Is is just a waste of money, or is it a good investment?

What type of shampoo is YOUR favorite? How good is it and why do you like it?

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

There are HUGE differences between cheap and expensive shampoos:

1. cheap shampoos are mostly water, so you need to use more, which makes you run out faster. expensive shampoo is comprised of more ingredients and is more concentrated, so it actually lasts longer. you end up paying about the same money on expensive and cheap shampoo over a three month period!

2. cheap shampoos SEEM to do a good job because they make your hair "silky" and "shiny". the ingredient in cheap shampoos that does this is silicone. it coats the hair follicle to make it shiny and silky at first, but in the longrun, silicone is actually quite damaging to your hair. expensive shampoos give your hair shine without using such chemically damaging ingredients!

I have tried many expensive and cheap shampoos. The WORST of the cheap shampoos is Pantene. It strips your hair of color and uses more silicone than any other cheap shampoo. The BEST cheap shampoo is Dove, as it uses less silicone (but still a damaging amount).

The BEST shampoos are going to be more expensive, naturally. I highly suggest Redken All Soft Heavy Cream as a repairing conditioner. My ALL TIME FAVE, however, is Frederick Fekkai. I've been using his shampoos and conditioners for a long time now and absolutely NOTHING compares. You can buy them at Sephora and Target!

For some good reviews, check out makeupalley.com. It's a place for real people to rate products and write reviews, and there's also a section where you can swap your products for someone else's to try out a new brand. Very worth it!

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

I like Redken... is that how you spell it? idk. It was like $20 for the shampoo and conditioner. I can't really afford anything more expensive. but it works for me. You can tell a difference like the first time i've used it. now it's just normal i guess.

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

I've tried expensive shampoo and conditioner... I think its a waste of money. You just need to try different cheap ones till you find the one that is right for you. I use Garnier it works great with my hair. And i get a lot of complements on how smooth my hair is.

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

I use Big Sexy Hair products (shampoo, conditoner and styling spray) and I love it! It is expensive but I have thicker wavy hair and if I use cheap my hair gets all fuzzy. Of the cheaper ones I don't mind Loreal though..

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

Flex is my all time favorite, second is the newer fruictis.

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

One big difference between the "normal" shampoos and the salon products is the concentration. Salon products are generally more concentrated and have less water added to them. Take a look at a bottle the next time you buy one, and see if one of the main ingredient's is water. If so, chances are it won't be as good or last as long. You should only need a quarter sized amount for medium length hair.

$$$$ Does The PRICE Make The DIFFERENCE? $$$$?

My sister is a hairstylist and since she opened her salon I have bought professional hair products. I have used Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Redken and Goldwell but my favorite is Paul Mitchell it has improved my hair a lot, I can really feel the difference.

Swim Shampoo?

I have naturally light blonde hair. I have a pool, and I've only been in it three times and I already have green hair! I have thouroughly washed my hair with Loreal Kids Swim and Sport Shampoo each time I got out of the pool, so obviously that is not working. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good swim shampoo out there that either you use or someone you know uses? If so, please tell.

Thanks.

Swim Shampoo?

Try this article, it might help. Or even just try googling "swim shampoo." I used to work at a Rite Aid Pharmacy and we sold the crap out of this swim shampoo in the summer, but I can't think of the name of it! Maybe if I do, I'll get back to you!

**A-ha! It is the UltraSwim Shampoo and Conditioner that are mentioned in the article. If you look below the Shampoo, there is a link to the site that sells the shampoo. A drugstore might also carry it, so check there:)**

Swim Shampoo?

Sometimes at wal-mart you can find a special swim shampoo. I forget what it is called, but it is in a clear bottle. It has a conditioner that goes with it. I use it, and I LOVE it!

Swim Shampoo?

Even with a swim shampoo, the chemicals in a pool are very hard on the hair. Best to wear a swim cap.

Swim Shampoo?

I had that problem. Nothing takes the greeness out. I finally went to a professional, and they stripped my hair with stuff that takes the green out. It still didn't work. I think throughout the summer the sun just bleached it more and the green just seemed to dissappear after awhile. Be patient. (although green isnt that appealing). Or i guess maybe you could see a h air professional, it MIGHT work for you.

Swim Shampoo?

Yes Go to your nearest hair salon that carries Paul mitchell products ask if they have the shampoo three if they do buy it it cleanse all the impurities in it such as chlorine. I would also like to suggest that you get the awaphui spray if you r prone to sun burns. You may look into getting a leave in conditioner. cuz that chlorine can damage your hair and dry it out. All the above are by Paul Mitchell. Good luck

Swim Shampoo?

have u ever had your hair dyed or colored at a salon? because i know that if you have dyed blonde hair, or highlights, then it could turn green, but i have never ever dyed my hair, it's completely natural, and that's never happened to me. i swim all the time. im not trying ot brag, i just never thot natural blonde hair could turn green. but that's happened to a couple of people i know. i don't know how they got it out, but i would suggest a professional hair salon, i don't think a shampoo could do that

Swim Shampoo?

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Kroger, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!

Blue tinged Blonde?

My friend colors my hair blond for me when I need my roots done, I always use the same color. Sometimes myhair gets a light blue hue that takes a few washings to get out,, is there anyway to avoid this or rinse it out? I use Loreal Ultra light Ashe Blonde, my hair is light brown natuarally.

Blue tinged Blonde?

i havent heard of thisd before x

go to the chemist where you bought the dye or a hairdresser as they are more likely to know

Blue tinged Blonde?

blue is used in lighter shades of ash to take your hair to blonde. garnier fructris has good light light blonde colors. there probably isn't a lot of natural red in your hair is there? the blue is used to cancel out the red, and if you don't have a lot of red... it's just depositing the blue. try and find one without the ash in it. that will solve your problem!

Which hair color should I use?

I want to dye my hair this weekend. I used Loreal Natural Match 7W Dark Golden Blonde a few months ago. Should I use that again or use Clairol Natural Instincts Brass Free 7C Dark Blonde? I have fair skin and light brown/hazel eyes, so what would look better on me? I really need some opinions.

Loreal Natural Match 7W Dark Golden Blonde:http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/152822...

Clairol Natural Instincts Brass Free 7C Dark Blonde:http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1394/1345...

Ten points for the best answer! Thanks %26lt;3

Which hair color should I use?

Use the one that is closest to your natural color. If you go too dark, it will wash out your complexion. If you go too light, you will look monochromatic. If they are both equally close, go darker for the holiday season. Make sure that you get your eyebrows professionally done if the color is too different from your natural color (nothing looks weirder than dark eyebrows on a platinum blonde...)

A stylist question?

Do stylists really not know ANYTHING about the at home hair color lines on the market? Everytime I've brought up Loreal Colorspa or Natural Instincts to ANY stylist I have ever gone to, they all act like they wouldn't know a Clairol or Loreal product if it slapped them upside the head. If they need to know what product the client has been using on their hair, shouldn't they be properly educated about the store lines available?

A stylist question?

yes they should. i always know what brands work and the chemicals involved. it could be dangerous if you dont.

A stylist question?

First, they deal with salon products so they might not know anything about at home color treatments. But then again, they might just want you to switch to the stuff they sell.

If i shower daily will my black dye wash out?

Lately ive been having bad luck with hair dye. I died my hair r76 loreal bright red twice because the first 2 days it looked AMAZING. then washed out. PERMANENT colour. yeh yeh red washes out. but after that my hair no longer holds colour in.

two days ago i coloured my hair black and it looks great. so far so good, but what can i do so it stays longer? and if i shower daily will it wash out?

i usually shampoo +condition my hair daily but i could cut down to 3 times a week, but if i just shower and get my hair wet is that fine?

If i shower daily will my black dye wash out?

They have this new thing out called "Color Oops". It gets rid of the dye job you just did.

Good luck :)

If i shower daily will my black dye wash out?

Make sure you're using good quality shampoo/conditioner that is meant to protect the colour from fading. Why would your hair get wet if you are not washing daily?

If i shower daily will my black dye wash out?

i say try a different hair dye i had the same problem when i dyed my hair blue balck but it wasnt 2 the point where it would come out when i was it. i say be more care full if its washing it out.

If i shower daily will my black dye wash out?

Use special shampoo/conditioner that keeps the color in.

Black hair will fade though. Bottom line. I dyed my hair black and no matter how hard you try, it fades.

Best brand of hair color to use on black hair?

My stepdaughter has natural, black hair. She streaked it with 'Loreal Colour Rays' a couple of months ago. The color took nicely %26amp; has stayed pretty fresh looking. But, now, she needs to lose the color for a school play. She wants to go with a brown or black, to cover it over and give her entire head a slight change of color. And, we want to do it at home.

I've read that black hair is usually bleached/stripped at a salon, before coloring and I just don't think either of us is ready to make a drastic/permanent change like that for her, right now.

What brand of hair coloring would work best to cover that pink/purple that's in her hair now and give her an overall change?

Best brand of hair color to use on black hair?

ganier nutreise which will give her hair a healthy boost and will cover the pink and purple

Best brand of hair color to use on black hair?

loreal

Can any1 suggest me a good hair product which will work wonders easily available for my dry %26amp; damaged hair?

Mumbai- Is that in India? I am not sure if my favorite hair product is available there or not....but I would suggest using K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo and Conditioner by Joico....it has done wonders for me! Good Luck!

Can any1 suggest me a good hair product which will work wonders easily available for my dry %26amp; damaged hair?

Can any1 suggest me a good hair product which will work wonders easily available for my dry %26amp; damaged hair?

I only use pantene products.

Can any1 suggest me a good hair product which will work wonders easily available for my dry %26amp; damaged hair?

Aussie works great for me... conditioner for it is mend %26amp; cleanse..... good for frazzled ends and dryness.. might want to follow up with a light frizz controller... frizz ease is good for that and makes yer hair soft....works good for the rats nest on my head...:P heheh

Can any1 suggest me a good hair product which will work wonders easily available for my dry %26amp; damaged hair?

i agree with TaNk's M, JOICO K-PAK is an awesome product don't use cheap stuff like pantene, Aussie,or l'oreal unless its L'OREAL KERASTASE PARIS. ONLY buy them in professional salons not at drug stores or grocery they r not guaranteed real. meaning they can tamper with the product if you don't believe me call your state board of consumer affairs and ask the cosmetology board.

"Fructis" Oil for damaged hair. Its cheap and very very good.

What home dye is best for covering grey?

Having been fleeced by a hairdresser to apply professional hair colour, I've decided to DIY. I chose Loreal Recital which guaranteed to cover ghe grey - well it did until after 3 washes, then it has faded badly %26amp; needs doing again just 10 days later. So my question is, what product is best for coverage %26amp; non-fade? I'm trying to maintain my mid-brown colour (number 6).

What home dye is best for covering grey?

Hello, I'm a hairdresser/salon owner.. sorry yours fleeced you, there a law unto themselves eh...lol I would suggest a nice and easy colour by clairol, sells in superdrug for about a fiver.. if your a base of a six I would recommend a champagne brown or maybe a mocha.. try to avoid reds or auburn's, as they tend to catch onto the white in the grey and give an uneven coverage..(looking pink or orange).. you could always use a semi permanent colour in between root touch ups.. good luck x

What home dye is best for covering grey?

I dye my hair too and John Frieda made a COlor Glaze that you put in your hair after you wash it. I really love it and it really keeps my color. Of course, I have no gray, yet, but I would give it a try after you dye it again. I know that Loreal stuff is supposed to be pretty great. Some dyes will tell you to leave on longer for stubborn grays, you may want to leave it on an extra 10-15 minutes too if you haven't tried that yet.

Good luck and if all else fails, be proud of your grays. My mom is 48 and has some gray and she's hot! I think women that age naturally are totally beautiful!

What home dye is best for covering grey?

I use Garnier Nutrisse, and it always does the trick.

What home dye is best for covering grey?

Nice and Easy is great for covering grey and it doesn't fade, only grows out.

What home dye is best for covering grey?

I started going grey at 14 and have used just about everything. I have too much grey to use semi permanents now, - I have found Belle Color to be the best dye. I use the shade called simply "Brown" lol as I don't really want auburn or anything. It covers perfectly, I use it every month to do my roots, and my hair is in good condition. I must say that I used Nice n Easy a few months ago when I couldnt get my usual dye, and my hair felt like straw, it was awful. Felt as though I had bleached my hair.

Good luck

What home dye is best for covering grey?

I would ask a professional . But there should be a DIY kit that would fix the grey .

What home dye is best for covering grey?

Have you tried Poly Colour 鎷?.98 from Tesco always get a shade lighter than you think. Good permanent coverage.

What home dye is best for covering grey?

you may need to go one shade lighter. after all, they do say that women should go lighter as they age.

failing that, nice and easy is recommended as the best, it's a brilliant stainer for lighter hair anyway.

you could also try a few fine highlights aroung the hair, especially if the grey is at the crown.

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

i dont want a cheap on but i have to buy it from walmart, or walgreens. so is there any good blow-dryer i can buy. like the salon types that i can actually press on my hair and make it pro dry. afte applying the loreal paris studio line hot straight cream?

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

i would really recommend a chi hair dryer i have that and dries my hair in less than 5 minutes. it is professional and really good and dosnt damage the hair. i m not sure if they have those at walmart but if they do get that one its the best ive had so far and i dry my hair every day and it works great since i need to go to school real fast.

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

Conair

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

whatever you do do not get a conair blowdryer it will damage ur hair!

L'oreal color pulse?

i have very light mousy brown hair with bits of natural blonde highlights and i bought loreal color pulse in funky cherry. i plan i dying only the tips of my hair but i was wondering, does it work. and my mom said i can only use temporary hair dye but i heard if you straighten your hair a lot after you use it will it last longer. so yeah, pretty much any tips would be appreiciated. thanks!

L'oreal color pulse?

First of all, do NOT shampoo for as long as possible after the initial coloring to give dye time to adhere to cuticle. The same goes with heat styling, try to limit blow drying and straightening in first 48 hrs. I don't know where you heard about the straightening, but it is wrong, continued exposure to heat fades color faster. Other than this, the only thing you can do is try to shampoo as little as possible with a color safe adn gentle shampoo (even baby shampoo). Also deep condition once a week. If you can find a leave in conditioner that has spf that will help with sun fading. That is all you can do really.

I'm really confused :S:S?

i really wanna remove my permanent black hair dye and all the advice columns say use Loreal Colour Zap but i cant find it anywheree!

i live in the uk so i checked Superdrug, Boots ,Savers and that but they didnt have it :S

where can u get it?

pls help i'm getting my hair cut today :O

I'm really confused :S:S?

I agree with the first poster. Go to Loreal's web site and search the product you want. They may have on line listings of where you can buy it in your area. If they don't have stores in your area that have it them send them an email and ask customer service to get back to you. If there is no store in your area that carries that product then you can order it directly from the company.

I'm really confused :S:S?

Look it up on net n u might be able to buy it online.

if u have already tried thn i'm nt sure sorry xx

I'm really confused :S:S?

Just get any kinda of dye remover. doesn't have to be loreal. just know that after you do it your hair wont be back to your normal color because you died it black so it will turn out a littler darker than your normal. You can also ask when you get your hair cut if they can remove the coloring for you. It will obviously cost more but then at least you wont have to worry about it getting messed up.

Curling gel?

My hair is naturally straight. Is there any kind of gel or mousse that i can apply on my hair so that my hair can be curly without the curling iron ??? It takes too long to do the iron cuz my hair is long.

My friends told me to use the Loreal mousse, and just rub it kind of up and down to make waves. But it doesn't work for me. When she applys it on, her hair looks really naturally curly and have a shiny wet looking ??? What can i do ????

Curling gel?

Is it good to use Loreal Vive shampoo?

I bought Loreal Vive and mask ,I wanted to know if Loreal Vive shampoo is good for hair. Can i have any bad effect from this shampoo.I don`t want after a year to have hair loss from this shampoo. Is it good to use?

Is it good to use Loreal Vive shampoo?

I've always trusted Loreal for every shampoo they've made. I'd say go ahead. Vive is just Loreal with lots of good hair minerals and stuffs!

Is it good to use Loreal Vive shampoo?

I've used it and it's really good. But I've used in a place where the climate is hot. I don't know if the weather has a bearing on the effect of whether it can dry up the hair. but it works well in hot climates.

Sometimes, mild baby shampoo is a lot better to use. also, it is better to just shampoo your hair twice a week. shampooing everyday can dry up your hair and scalp. for the rest of the days, washing with plain water and brushing will keep your hair and scalp in good condition. Just don't forget to rinse thoroughly after shampooing.

Can you them cutand other questions?

if you go to a nice hair salon will they cut your extensions ?

and how much do you think it would cost at a nice salon for me to get my layers and ends trimmed and to get my bangs cut and for my extensions to be trimmed up?

and can you mix dark brown hair dye with black hairr dye even when ones loreal and the other is garnier?

Can you them cutand other questions?

i would say they could cut extensions

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

if I re-color it a few hours later.

Today I used Loreal Color expert on my hair, (you know the kind that has a base color then you add your own highlights?) Anyway, I like the base color but don't care for the highlights. I want to go back and get the same color and just cover up the highlights. So I was thinking, since I already have a nice base color I will only cover the highlighted strands, and leave the rest alone. And I want to do it TODAY. I can't wait for a week or even days. So there would only be a few damaged pieces of hair, rather than my whole head! Right?

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

I've had a similar question just a few days ago... and also wanted to know how soon is it safe to re-color my hair again (the top of my hair looked orange while the rest was dark brown). I got different answers here and finally (next day) called my hairdresser to ask. She said I can color it the same day, no problem, my hair won't fall out or anything. So I did just that: I colored my hair again (first the roots and then the rest) that very next day and my hair seems to be just fine. And a nice even color too :)

Hope that helps! Good luck :)

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

Your hair will probably be fine. I once bleached my hair, applied a L'Oreal Color experte shade of dark blonde, and ended up with ORANGE hair. I put on a hat and went to the store and bought a nice reddish brown shade and re-colored my hair the very next morning. Miraculously, it was fine.

Then again, I never blow-dry my hair, curl it, straighten, or even use hairspray, so my hair was probably in fantastic shape to begin with.

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

first you are not going to get the same color on the highlights as the rest of the hair, if its that important that you get it fixed, go to a salon...

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

Not necessarily. I'd go to a salon and get them to fix it. If you try and color over what you've just done, you could get an even worse color (brassy or green) and for sure the part you have highlighted will be like straw if you put any more chemical on it.

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

it will be fine. i have colored my hair, not liked it , recolored, and recolored after that. dont worry, its an old wives tail that your hair will fall out if you color too much.

How much damage will I cause to my hair....?

a gr8 damage

splitends

hairloss

dryness of scalp

What kind of hair dye should I use?

I want to highlight it pink, I have either dark dark dark brown hair, or black hair, I already highlighted SOME copper or brown color, pretty cool. What kind of hair dye? Like Garnier Nutrisse? Loreal? Whichever has the color hot pink, so it actually shows, all my friends say it will look good on me too.

What kind of hair dye should I use?

Herbal Essences is pretty good with colors like that!

What kind of hair dye should I use?

Ask a Salon It's going to be hard trying to find Pink Hi-Lites in the store the salon can do it easy you pay extra but you get your Pink Hi-Lites easy no mistakes and they can help you pick a color that you will look good in if you don't want the Pink Hi-Lites as much.

What kind of hair dye should I use?

unless you lighten (bleach) out your hair the pink will be very dark or not even show up. If you did not want to go extreme i would say just use a temporary hair gel with the color in it. or just get pink highlight extensions. There are a few brands that stores like osco carry- I have not tried them, but when i was younger I frequently used manic panic dye ( available at hot topic and similar places) it worked well , it turned out great when you bleached out the strands you want highlighted.

What kind of hair dye should I use?

I think you should do whatever your heart desires. If it doesn't look good for any reason you can do it over.

What kind of hair dye should I use?

Google "Manic Panic". They have a very broad range of colors. Depending on where you live, most beauty supply stores carry this brand. If you want it to be bright pink you will have to bleach your hair to a pale yellow color. Do not do it any lighter than this or that hair will have the consistency of cotton candy and it will eventually break off. Bleaching can be a little scary! If you used bleach on your hair previously do not reapply it to those areas. Bleach on bleach is not a good thing. If you don't have a Sally beauty supply in your area, your best bet is online shopping. If you decide to have it done in a salon go to one that uses Paul Mitchell color. They have some pretty wild colors available now.

What kind of hair dye should I use?

Shimmer One, by Redken

Can i use this dye without wrecking my hair?

so i have this dye i got in this pack. it's colorflirt by herbal essences clairol. the colour is called so hot! and it's a reddish brown

it says it lasts 8-12 shamppoos and it's low risk. it also says it has no ammonia or peroxide, so it doesn't slick to the centre of your hair

has anyone tried colorflirt, or loreal colourpulse, or any of those ones that come out and say they don't wreck your hair. do they work

i dont want my hair to get fried

Can i use this dye without wrecking my hair?

it slightly damages it.. because there are still chemicals in it but much less than just a regualar colored dye.

White Hair Dye?

Does anybody know where I can purchase white hair dye and/or which brand does it (eg. Loreal etc..) I would usually use Schwarzkopf hair dyes because they always give me the disered look but they dont do white :(. anybody know which UK store i could find it in? (eg. Boots or a Pharmacy?)

White Hair Dye?

There is no WHITE HAIR DYE...I mean you can buy that wash out spray that just leaves a coating of white on your, but it'll wash out as soon as you shower.

If you want white white hair you're going to have to bleach it. And bleaching hair that much is very damaging. It's off the charts and it will cause breakage on the hair.

But if you really want it then that's what you are going to have to do.

good luck with everything bro = )

White Hair Dye?

You don't keep bleaching it, you bleach it to yellow and then cancel out the yellow with violet toner to create the white. Report It

White Hair Dye?

yeah that sounds sexy im a girl

White Hair Dye?

People get white hair by bleaching it past anything the manufacturer would recommend. I used to work at Clairol, and the two stages we'd recommend was yellow like the outside of a banana, or pale yellow, like the inside. (Which you went for depended on which toner you were planning to put on top of the hair to get a more natural shade. If you don't want a natural shade, that's a whole other thing.) I suspect even those shades were pretty hard on the hair, and white would pretty much weaken the hair strands by taking out all the pigment. If you go ahead, don't do any other process on your hair (straightening or curling via chemicals) or you'll probably fry your hair. If you want to go darker again, don't just pop a darker dye over your hair as is, or you'll get a color not found in nature. (And not a good one.) Call the toll-free consumer hotline of the brand you use, if there is one. You might want to call a hotline before you bleach to white, but they might advise you not to.

Good luck!

White Hair Dye?

White huh? Well, you can't actually dye your hair white. You can only bleach it out so much it turns white. As for bleaching your hair white I would have a professional do it or else it might turn a nasty yellow or your hair might even fall out.

White Hair Dye?

As others have said, you will definately have to bleach your hair and then add a tint if that is what you prefer.

It is harder to bleach red hair than dark hair and dark hair should be bleached in stages to avoid damaging the hair as much as possible. Dark hair goes through stages with repeated bleaching. Black hair initially becomes red, then orange followed by yellow and finally white.

Bleached hair has a yellow tinge to it because of the natural structure of hair, which is mainly a-keratin which is naturally a pale yellow.

The more frequently bleach is applied, the drier hair becomes, moisturising hair after bleaching is a must.

That is the technical bit. It depends a lot on the effect you are looking for in your hair, whether a color tint would be better, or leaving your hair stripped provides the effect you are after.

The darkness of your hair will dictate the strength of solution you need to strip your hair back to white.

White Hair Dye?

Hey man i am bleaching my hair coz i also want white hair, im black and obvcourse have black hair, im on my 6th bleach and hair is still on my scalp lol, its a very yellow pale color at the mo and some of the hair is looking quite white. i think ill need about 2/3 more bleaches then ill be able to tone it white.

but to answer your question what you have to do is get any bleach prolly about 30vol will be okay. bleach your hair and wait about 2-3 days be4 u bleach it again. during those 2-3 days u will need to condition you hair like twice a day to keep you hair strong.

Im using Aussie 3minute miracle and it works pretty good, the conditioner in the bleaching kit seem to work pretty good as well.

Once you get to the stage where you hair looks like a rly rly rly pale yellow colour i mean REALLY pale yellow you can use a white toner, i have bought Manic Panic virgin snow toner and it seems to work for other people. this shop sells it

http://punkrockshop.co.uk/

hopefully the toner will work. Ill post another comment by wed i think should have it white ( i hope ) bye then.

You also need a cap/hat or alot of balls, coz if you hair is black the 1st bleach will make it a horrible ginger color, dont be frightened by that it will get more lighter and yellowy with each bleach, so if your the kinda person who does not like people making fun at you, wear a hat when you are out and about.

Oh yeah always do the strand test and all that **** to make sure you are not allegic to the hair dye.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

I am looking to give my hair more of an edge so I am going to use Loreal Paris color rays but cant decide what color to use....red rays or ******* flash??!! help and I might use ur desision go to http://www.lorealparis.ca/en/haircolor/i...

to see the two color and all 5 colors!! =D

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

******* flash! I think red highlights have already been done a lot. ******* highlights are something different, that's for sure. Just make sure you are really positive you want to highlight your hair -- highlighting/dying your hair does cause damage. The decision is ultimately up to you! I hope you like whatever you pick.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

it really depends on what your hair color is now. if your hair is brown, try red. if your hair is blond, try fuscia. trust me, the fuscia in blonde hair looks really cool.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

omg DO NOT DO YOUR OWN HIGHLIGHTS IF YOU HAVE DARK HAIR...IT WILL TURN ORANGE.I PROMISE..IF ITS LIGHT..HIGHLIGHT AWAY...ID SAY RED CUZ ITS MORE VERSATILE...******* IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A HAIRCOLOR..ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A CRAYON COLOR.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

red's been done too many times...

be different!

I've had jap stra8nin and what to get foils?

Hi ppl, i've had japenese stra8nin a week ago the hair dresser said i can colour/foil it after a week. My hair is currently dry, its brown atm (used to be completely blond which obviously damaged my hair esp the ends) and i want foils but worried it will break, what should i do? im sick of brown hair (my hair is originally black)if i shouldnt have foils what do u suggest i do in terms of colour? and what brand should i use (atm i have been using the no amonia stuff by loreal but the lighter colours obviously dont work in my hair... please help!?

Desperate for a colour change

I've had jap stra8nin and what to get foils?

usually when they said "no ammonia" means "no lift". They deposit color only.

you don't wanna go too light - it will break.

You wanna go to the salon after all...because of the straightening.

No coloring works for gray!!?

I recently just started getting some gray hair, (i know, yikes.) I have tried using Loreal Preference, Natural Instincts. It only stays for barely a week, why is that? Does anyone have any other suggestions as to gray coverage colorig that actually holds for longer than a fricken week?

No coloring works for gray!!?

Go to a beauty supply store in your area, and ask what they recommend for a good color to cover gray hair.

Personally, I recommend a product called ION color. They have an excellent gray-coverage line, plus every time I have used their color products, the hair has come out shiny and looking more healthy than before.

Where I live, the bottle of color cost about $5-$6, but if you don't have developer or a coloring bottle, you'll have to buy those too. An employee will be able to help show you what you need, and give you directions on what to do.

The reason those products haven't worked for you, is because none of them are permanent, or semi-permanent colors. They are very weak, and tend to fade almost as fast as temporary color.

Another personal opinion, never use "wal-mart" brands. They can actually damage your hair more than if you were to have it professionally done.

Good luck.

No coloring works for gray!!?

try getting your roots colored with your natural hair, try going to a salon because their products would come out great and stay in your hair for about a month, my neighbor does it and i would of never know this until she told me!

No coloring works for gray!!?

go to a hair place because if you do it at home it usually on stays for a bit and the hair places will cost quite a bit but it works well

No coloring works for gray!!?

Nothing hides the gray hair longer than two weeks.
