Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

Use a professional color, you don't need to use box colors. Go to Sally's and look at the color swatches and pick out the color. I recommend Clairol Professional.

If it continues to come out, you'll HAVE to go to a professional because you need a protein filler. Your hair may be damaged, and if so, it won't hold color.

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

everything fade girl its dye but i use revlon it great

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

Umm, try using a shampoo that protects the color.

Also leave the color in for about 15 more minutes than it says on the box Dont shampoo your hair when you wash it the first time, and dont wash it until 2 or 3 days after you do it.

Good luck!

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

nice and easy stays in your hair for about 6 weeks and if you rinse your hair in cool water the color stays longer to , make sure you use a shampoo that is for color treated hair also or it will fade alot faster if not for color treated

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

I've been dyeing my hair since 8th grade and i can tell you that i haven't really found too much of a difference between each brand of hair color. but what you can do is buy a shampoo/conditoner that's for dyed hair which will help extend you color, and also buy John Frieda-Luminous Color Glaze. Use it everytime you shampoo your hair, it has pigments in it and will help extend the life of your color and add shine.

Best hair dye and more?

Ok. I just dyed my hair Saturday. I used Loreal's hair dye and it was "Medium Copper Brown". But everytime I wash my hair, it seems like color is STILL coming out of it. I am using Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo. So my question is: What is the best hair dye brand and what is the best way to take care of it (shampoo and conditioner, washing style, etc). I am already washing it with cold water and drying it on warm...

Best hair dye and more?

i like the clairol brand. the one in the pink box. i just recently dyed my hair "foxy brown" i love it!!! i also put warm brown highlights. i use the the clairol color me happy shamppo and conditioner. worksd great and keeps color vibrant

Best hair dye and more?

I'd go to a salon to get it done, cuz if you keep dying your hair with 2 many products you hair could become really dry. Also they'll tell you the type of shampoo that's good for your hair.

Good Luck! :)

my favorite is Clairol Nice and Easy, it does not damage the hair as much as the other hair colors. The best shampoo you can use is SunSilk for colored hair its inexpensive but keeps your hair looking healthy, you can also use coconut milk once a month. what you do is pour the coconut milk on your hair and then place a warm towel around it for about 2 hours, you then wash you hair as usual, this makes your hair look healthy and shiny

The best at home hair colouring system is L'oreal, (Any types under that brand) and the best thing for you to do is to buy a shampoo and conditioner that is for coloured hair. It makes the colour stick to your hair follicle. And also after washing the colour out the first time, my hair dresser recommends not washing my hair again for about a week. It helps the colour sit in your hair better.

Use henna and indigo. I know it sounds weird and neo-hippie, but really, it is the best, best way to dye your hair. The henna by itself will turn hair red, and indigo by itself turns hair bluish, but together they make brown-you can adjust quantities to get the color you want. Here is one of the most informative websites about hennaing hair: http://www.hennaforhair.com - click on the PDF version of the free book about hennaing hair. This lady did her thesis on this, so this is all correct and up to date and really in depth. It also shows you what chemical dyes do to your hair...

It is kinda messy and takes awhile, but your hair will come out so shiny and glossy and beautiful, henna is really really good for your hair. I just make a day out of it and do a home-spa type thing. It is also really fun to get together with friends and have a day. Read about it, try it, believe me- it is way better than any chemical hair color. Oh, and you can do it over your chemical color and as much as you want, since henna is good for your hair!

To take care of it after you henna it you just wash, brush, and style as usual. Just read the website, it is great! It was where I found out about henna- also, for what it is, it is very reasonably priced!

Try Feria, I think the results are the most natural %26amp; long-lasting. Oh %26amp; switch to Redken or Matrix product. It will make a real difference !!

Dying my hair black. Help.?

I know I keep asking this but I'm kinda worried since I've read quite a few stories about people not getting good results from dying their hair.

Ok well, I've always wanted to dye my hair black, so what I did was I first bought a non-permanent dye (natural black) to see what it would look like on me. It looked good but I was expecting it to be darker. My natural hair color is VERY dark brown, almost black...like the one in this picture with the name of "C-2 Dark Brown":

http://www.hopefashions.com/images/color...

So today, I bought a permanent black hair dye. To be exact, it was this one:

http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Feria-Hair-...

First question: I'm not planning on doing this but it wouldn't hurt to know. Would it be bad to dye my hair with this permanent one OVER the non-permanent one (mind you, I dyed my hair with the non-permanent only 3 days ago).

Dying my hair black. Help.?

Don't worry about dying it black; most likely you'll need two boxes of dye if your hair is long and/or thick. I know I did!

Temp. dyes always turned out lots lighter than a permanent black dye, so permanent dye won't do that.

Your roots won't be very noticeable unless they're blonde or red or generally really light; my sis has dirty blonde and you can barely tell where the roots have grown and the black dye remains. the roots have grown quite a bit. but my hair is red, and the roots were very noticeable. just dye your roots, it won't ruin your hair to do so.

I recommend Revlon ColorSilk! It's real cheap and it keeps your hair soft and pretty. Plus it works.

I doubt it will have negative effects to use permanent over temp.

Dying my hair black. Help.?

well since your hair color is so close to the color that your permanently putting in your hair i don't believe it will look bad once it grows out. i know that from experience...but i would probably make sure that the temporary dye is out of your hair before you put the permanent dye in your hair b/c the color you bought is REALLY DARK and you don't want it looking purpleish...so i would wait until all the temporary dye is out first. HOPE I HELPED!

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

i want to know if loreal color pulse really comes out completely after 8-10 washes

if not is there anything temporary that will dye the hair but completely come out after like 10 washes

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

Yes it will slowly fade out. The red put in nice highlights when I had my hair dyed red, and came out super red when I was blond. The only problem with the blond was when it faded it started looking pink. I hate pink! So if you're doing something like that you might want to try something else or be prepared to wash your hair alot. You can try a beauty store to see if they have more temporary options.

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

yeah.

i used it.

it came out in like 5 washes.

it smells good too =]

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

yes

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

I just used the new Loreal Couleur Expert. (Its 2 steps. Dye allover and then highlight) well the highlights are super orange brassy and I put too many in the front. I used 6.1-cool- light ash brown called French Eclair. The 1-888 Loreal number doesnt work til 9 am Monday. Can I redye my hair today to an allover brown color? Should I wait, I hear there is a 48-72 hour window but not sure if I need to do something before then, during then etc. My hair is fairly healthy I use cond daily and special treatment about 1 to 2 a week.... advise?

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

Normally, you should wait a few days before attempting to recolor your hair. Here's the catch, though: you're really going to need to strip the existing color from the hair before you recolor it. As a rule, color does not "grab" new color well, so you need to strip the color with a color remover (you can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply, or some drugstores) to make the hair ready to take the new color you'd like to dye it. Again, wait a few days so that your scalp can get back to normal. You run the risk of burning the delicate skin there if you do a dye job again too soon (not so much a problem with the hair as the scalp, usually).

Good luck!

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

it all depends on your hair i do mine every 2 weeks and sometimes i try dif things and mess up and have to run right back to the store with a cap on to cover my head..lol im 36 and i have been doing my hair for years it dependas on how strong ur hair is i have thick hair and i have greys now so thats why i do mine so often my hair is soft %26amp; it shines just make sure you condition it good ...and no its not falling out either i hope for the best for you what ever you do dont stip the color from it it will feel like hay

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

Please heed my advice. I am a licensed professional. You may be making a huge mistake by coloring your hair yourself again. Because you have already colored your hair (peroxide) and highlighted it (bleach) you have altered the chemical structure of your hair. In order to achieve a color now that you will be pleased with, there are more things to take into consideration. Porosity level. Underlying pigment. These elements will make ALL the difference in how your hair turns out. You will be unable to go by the guidelines on a box of color. Trust me, you need to seek a professionals help. You may potentially damage your hair irreparably or end up with a hideous color. It happens constantly: customers come to see me because they didn't want to spend the money for a salon's help, dd it on their own and consequently had to come see me and spend twice as much because color correction is costly and time consuming.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Well me i jump around to lots of shampoo i really don't know which shampoos to use and i just want to stick to one brand what shampoos work for african american hair.

Herbal Essence, Tresemme, Head%26amp;Shoulders, Garnier, ManeNTail, Pantene,Loreal Pro-V,Aussie,Sunsilk, Suave, So what shampoo/conditioner will work for me????

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Check up AVON coz they have lot of advanced techniques for hair-styling and also moisturisers which could possibly help you best. See their new catalogue listed here and set up a date with a professional advisor or shop online at www.avon.com. it will also cost you less.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

suave

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use Infusium 23 Moisturology. It tames my hair and leaves it really soft.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

None of those, honey. Go to your nearest Professional Salon and get KeraCare Hydrating/Detangling Shampoo and Humecto conditioner. The best ever for AA hair.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

it depends on YOUR hair...

personally I like Pantene products.

ask your beautician for advice.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

suave is the best

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Pantene Pro-V is good for all hair types and has a lot of vitamins to keep your hair from getting too dry and protects it from damage. I've even used it after bleaching my hair and didn't have any breaks at all, so i would reccommend that.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I like Pantene Pro-V. It comes in different varieties like, for color-treated hair, etc. A beautician bad-mouthed Pantene to me once, saying it was too slick or something, but I let it go in one ear and out the other. I like Motions moisturizer. It's kinda like Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer, but it's lighter and white. My favorite conditioner is Queen Helene's Cholesterol. You can even leave it in your hair and not rinse it out. I saw a chic with really healthy-looking hair do that. But if you don't want to leave it in, let it heat penetrate (Like with a shower cap or shopping bag twisted tight) for 30 min or so before rinsing out.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use the Dark and Lovely range of products

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use Creme of Nature shampoo and conditioner. I would suggest speaking to your personal cosmetologist. It also depends on if you have a relaxer or you wear your hair natural. I personally, continue to purchase products over a period of every 2-3 months, just to see what works best for me. But I've seen a lot of Black salons use KeraCare. I stopped using Pantene a long time ago, because I learned that products like it (due to sodium lauryl(eth) sulfate) strip the hair of it's natural oils and over a period of time, can actually do more damage than good. In the sense that you tend to go to your stylist more often than normal. Being that I am natural, I usually try products other people with natural hair are trying, until I find something that I think works best for me. So in a way, you jumping around can be a good thing, but again, be careful of SLS, especially if it's one of the main ingredients in your shampoo.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I'm white, but my hair is really curly and I love what the Patene for Women of Color did for my hair. Made it softer and bouncier.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Mane 'N Tail, Creme of Nature

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

A shampoo called Joico for dry hair. My mom and I use it and it makes our hair really soft and moisturized. You can get it at Fred Meyer. Pricey, but it REALLY works.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Acutally Sunsilk. Use the hydra tlc line ((in the pink bottle)). It works wonders on black hair. I would know.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

When I wore my hair relaxed, I ONLY used Creme of Nature. In fact after using it for several months, I didn't even have to use the conditioner! Now that I wear my hair natural, I don't use shampoo, only conditioner. Aveda has some GREAT conditioners...they are a little $$$$ so when I'm broke I buy the Suave Naturals. Hope this helps!

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

probably pantene it will go good with any one

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying

DO NOT WASH YOUR HEAR FIRST!!

Your scalp needs the oils on it to keep the solution from burning it!!

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

How about you read the directions that come in the box??? Hmmm...never thought of that, did you?

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

should put it on dry unwashed hair then apply leave for approx 25 minutes then wash out and condition

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

I have heard that washing hair before any color job will only lead to the color not sticking.

As said read directions.

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

READ THE DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM...IF IT DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT NOT WASHING YOUR HAIR THAN I WOULD GO AHEAD AND DO IT....BUT IF YOU'RE REALLY NOT SURE THERE SHOULD BE A TOLL FREE NUMBER HAT YOU CAN ALL ANYTIME...GIVE THEM A CALL AND ASK THEM WHAT YOU SHOULD DO AND IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU CAN ASK THEM TO MAKE SURE YOU DO EVERYTHING RIGHT....

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

No, you should always wait 24 hours after washing hair to apply color. Your hair needs the natural build up oils to protect your hair. The color could burn your hair and your hair will turn out frizzy and the ends will be split.

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

no do not pre wash or use on wet hair. please read the instructions first.
