Hair color trouble???

OMG what i DID!

I bought this nice hair color yesterday to change my hair color which it was dark brown/black into a golden brown from loreal feria color booster. Previously i had my hair into Havana brown. Before having this, i used to have highlights into my natural dark brown hair. When i applied the product yesterday everything was alright except for when i saw the result. My hair got the color just in the base (*root) of my head. I'm desperate cuz I really wanted to change my whole hair color . wHAT CAN I DO? should i have to buy another box and re-apply?

Please go to a salon and have your hair fixed. If you continue to apply different colors to your hair, you're just making things worse. It's best to go to a Professional now and let them fix it. In the long run it will save you money and aggrevation. In a salon, if things go wrong, the stylist can fix it. If things go wrong at home, you have to go to the store and get more product.

Well, you can't lift color with color so the only part of your hair that took was the undyed portion, your roots. You can go to the store and buy a stripper or color oops. I don't recommend that at all. You could color your roots to match the rest of the hair (dark brown/black). Or finally, go get some professional help before you make it worse. I did the same thing once, good luck!

theres this stuff its like hair dye stripper and you put it in your hair and it takes the color out but its basically like bleaching your hair but not really, it just takes out the dark pigmentation and the end result looks like its been bleached. after you use this, you can use a color darker than your desired result, but not a lot darker because with the new pigmentation it will be hard for the light color to stick.

To get your hair to lighten your gonna have to lift the color. if you have dark hair, putting a lighter hair dye on top of the dark hair will not lighten it. Dark hair must be lifted with bleach, and THEN a hair dye can go on top of that to get the desired color.

The reason the color only took to the roots of your head is because the root hair is fresh, and grabs color more easily than the mid shaft and ends of hair.

SO that's the process I would say would most likely work. but it can be very damaging to the hair (the bleaching, I mean) so I would reccomend going to a stylist of course, but I know sometimes that's not an option, or you dont wanna spend that much money.
