Wanting to go back to natural, but can i dye it at home with high lights?

I got my hair colored to a light brown and got high lights a while ago. So you can see my roots (Dark brown) and I don't like it. I was thinking about dying it to match my natural color again.

If I get Loreal or any of thse other kinds of home-hair-dying products and use it on my already dyed hair and high lights will it look bad or funny? I dont want to get it stripped because that sounds harsh. But yeah my hair is a lighter color and I'm dying it darker, I think it should work out, but I need a second oppinion!

Wanting to go back to natural, but can i dye it at home with high lights?

its possible to dye it yourself, but alot of the time it doesn't turn out right. i suggest that you get it professionally dyed.

Should i use loreal Feria or loreal Natural match?

im gonna color my hair black. and also i have used Loreal Feria a couple of months ago. i just want to see which one's better

Should i use loreal Feria or loreal Natural match?

They're likely going to do the same thing, it's just that Feria has more shades of black (dark brown/black, blue/black, etc). If you just want plain black, either would be fine since they're L'Oreal. I personally use Feria ALL the time, but that's me. Good luck!

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

i want more volumizing than lengthening.

(my eyelashes are naturally long, any longer would look creepy.)

i also want lash separation.

i want the "fake eyelash" effect, like so:

http://secondcitystyle.typepad.com/photo...

and any tips on applying?

is an eyelash curler worth it?

and please dont recommend brands like Loreal. Nothing personal, but i only like their hair products.

also i dont want to use Maybelline Great Lash (green lid, pink tube). it never worked for me.

Also i would rather not use like XL or XXL or XXXL or whatever they are. i hear these are very clumpy.

plus i want to spend under 20 bucks.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

you sound really fussy! yes, a lash curler is definitely worth it! a heated one is even better, but you can do this on the cheap by heating a metal curler with a hairdryer. have you tried actually using fake lashes!? allure [i think] make some amazing fakes that last 3 weeks, and come in lots of natural shades. as for maybelline great lash, its the best thing out there! i've tried so many different brands, but that is my favorite!

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

covergirl volume exact. it curls and adds a ton of volume.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

The ones I've found are Almay One-coat curling and Loreal Architect. Sorry about mentioning Loreal, but it is different from their usual mascaras.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

If you're willing to spend some bucks, Dior's Diorshow mascara is $23. It is worth every single penny, I promise. You can buy it at Sephora or at www.sephora.com. But if you don't want to spend up, then I recommend Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara. I think it's a lot like Diorshow Mascara, and it runs around $10. Look it up on www.maxfactor.com for stores. I think they sell it at WalMart also. Both of these are great for a fake eyelash look. Make sure to "wiggle" the mascara wand back and forth at the roots of your eyelashes so that they look thicker.

As for an eyelash curler...I own one, but I really don't need it unless I want a certain look or one of my eyelashes is acting funky. Maybe just get one by Revlon, which is good, but the best one is Shu Uemura's eyelash curler. It's about $15 and you can get that at www.sephora.com.

Covergirl

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

the girls lashes in the picture are fake...and i believe she is either a cover girl or l'oreal model

I'm sorry dear but if you want to spend under 20 bucks your best bet is going to be a drug store brand

and I hate to say but from what you described we seem to have similar eyelashes and the best mascara I've ever used is L'oreal Voluminous...just saying

an eyelash curler is always worth it as is an eyelash comb

curl your lashes

start at the base and do a side to side motion all the way to the tip

then comb them to the neatness and direction you want

put on as many coats as you prefer and comb in between each coat

hope i helped

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

Maybelline Volume Express works pretty good for me. I have Asian eyes so I like a LOT of volume!

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

Clinique High Impact is good. Also Loreal Voluminous is great. Loreal is made by the same company that makes Lancome, so its good stuff, and I dont know what you have against it...

As for applying it, get as close to the base of your lashes as possible and wiggle the wand up your lashes. Then wiggle some more onto the base of your lashes. Two coats usually works for me.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

First of all, you've gotta know that the girl in the picture IS wearing false eyelashes on both her top and bottom lashline. But for volume I'd recommend either something by Lancome (high end) or Volume Flash (Rimmel London) or my personal FAV: Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost

Btw, XXL isn't all that clumpy, you've gotta put it on the right way.

How soon can I RE-COLOUR my hair...?

I coloured it two days ago with Loreal Preference and the roots are a lighter colour than the rest...I put the colour all over instead of just the roots first which I think was the problem.

thanks...

How soon can I RE-COLOUR my hair...?

The roots are your virgin hair so to speak so it is going to dye different then the rest of your hair. Even if you try to redye it, you are going to have the same problem.

How soon can I RE-COLOUR my hair...?

Every once a month? depends how old you are and how often have white hair. If you don't have white hair, every two /3 weeks

How soon can I RE-COLOUR my hair...?

to be safe 6 weeks so you dont burn out your hair. and make it fall out. dying to close together can cause it fall out from over use of the chemical.

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

Ever Since I've used Loreal Excellence HiColor HiLights [red] for dark hair it seems as if my hair is falling out more than usual in the shower. =[ Clots of hairs aren't coming out, but it's just more than usual. I'm still at a very young age! Should I get a checkup, or does anyone have any suggestions on what I should use for my hair? [ by the way I used SunSilk Shampoo anti-flat]

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

You could get your hair straightened. The chemical they use actually prevents your hair from falling. There's also a possibility that the shampoo you are using has some defects. Just a few months ago, there was something wrong with the shampoo I used coz it made my hair fall more than usual. Then, I changed the shampoo to a totally different brand. My hair does not fall out more than usual now.

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

YOU MAYBE SHOULD VISIT DR BUT I HAD THE SAME THING USE A MORE NATURAL SHAMPOO AND IT IS KIND ON NORMAL AS WELL MY DR SAID AND IT DOES STOP. I GET IT TWICE A YEAR NOW NO MATTER WHAT SHAMPOO I USE BUT IT GROWS BACK. NATURAL SAMPOO ARE BETTER FOR OVERALL HEALTH HAIR AND SCALP

It obviously isn't safe to continue using that product. But excessive use of hair dye will do that to you. Try using a hot oil treatment that you leave in your hair. I use this and it protects my hair from all the straightening and dyeing I do.

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

Will you damage your hair if you dye it right after you cut it?

Okay, Today I got my hair cut, pretty short. I want to dye my hair, but should I? If I cute my hair I've been told the ends will be completely open ( I'm not sure I was told) Kind of like If you peel a scab it is open to bacteria etc... But will the chemicals harm my hair? And I mean both ways, Bleaching your hair (since I have brown hair) or just using storebought dye like Loreal.... Cause I want to dye my hair pink/purple before I go back to school. And I was told you have to wait at least 3-6 weeks.

Will you damage your hair if you dye it right after you cut it?

I usually color my hair after I get it cut because I feel that if I color it before hand then I'm just wasting the dye. Although, I've never heard of not being able to color your hair after getting it cut.

Will you damage your hair if you dye it right after you cut it?

No, cutting your hair is good for it. It gets rid of split ends, etc. BUT bleaching it and ESPECIALLY dying it an unnatural color WILL ruin it. I would not advise dying it or bleaching it. If you want to dye it, use a natural color, please. Those colors are unflattering, as well.
