Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

okay so before school starts i want to color my hair dark brown, but everytime i do it it fades back to blonda a week later!! i use loreal paris hair color but i want ot try somethng differnt! please dont recommend me go to a salon becaasue my mom wont pay for that =[!! so does anyone know of a good brand of hair color that wont fade!?!?!!?

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

Use a professional color, you don't need to use box colors. Go to Sally's and look at the color swatches and pick out the color. I recommend Clairol Professional.

If it continues to come out, you'll HAVE to go to a professional because you need a protein filler. Your hair may be damaged, and if so, it won't hold color.

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

everything fade girl its dye but i use revlon it great

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

Umm, try using a shampoo that protects the color.

Also leave the color in for about 15 more minutes than it says on the box Dont shampoo your hair when you wash it the first time, and dont wash it until 2 or 3 days after you do it.

Good luck!

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

nice and easy stays in your hair for about 6 weeks and if you rinse your hair in cool water the color stays longer to , make sure you use a shampoo that is for color treated hair also or it will fade alot faster if not for color treated

Hair Coloring Help!!!!!?

I've been dyeing my hair since 8th grade and i can tell you that i haven't really found too much of a difference between each brand of hair color. but what you can do is buy a shampoo/conditoner that's for dyed hair which will help extend you color, and also buy John Frieda-Luminous Color Glaze. Use it everytime you shampoo your hair, it has pigments in it and will help extend the life of your color and add shine.

Best hair dye and more?

Ok. I just dyed my hair Saturday. I used Loreal's hair dye and it was "Medium Copper Brown". But everytime I wash my hair, it seems like color is STILL coming out of it. I am using Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo. So my question is: What is the best hair dye brand and what is the best way to take care of it (shampoo and conditioner, washing style, etc). I am already washing it with cold water and drying it on warm...

Best hair dye and more?

i like the clairol brand. the one in the pink box. i just recently dyed my hair "foxy brown" i love it!!! i also put warm brown highlights. i use the the clairol color me happy shamppo and conditioner. worksd great and keeps color vibrant

Best hair dye and more?

I'd go to a salon to get it done, cuz if you keep dying your hair with 2 many products you hair could become really dry. Also they'll tell you the type of shampoo that's good for your hair.

Good Luck! :)

Best hair dye and more?

my favorite is Clairol Nice and Easy, it does not damage the hair as much as the other hair colors. The best shampoo you can use is SunSilk for colored hair its inexpensive but keeps your hair looking healthy, you can also use coconut milk once a month. what you do is pour the coconut milk on your hair and then place a warm towel around it for about 2 hours, you then wash you hair as usual, this makes your hair look healthy and shiny

Best hair dye and more?

The best at home hair colouring system is L'oreal, (Any types under that brand) and the best thing for you to do is to buy a shampoo and conditioner that is for coloured hair. It makes the colour stick to your hair follicle. And also after washing the colour out the first time, my hair dresser recommends not washing my hair again for about a week. It helps the colour sit in your hair better.

Best hair dye and more?

Use henna and indigo. I know it sounds weird and neo-hippie, but really, it is the best, best way to dye your hair. The henna by itself will turn hair red, and indigo by itself turns hair bluish, but together they make brown-you can adjust quantities to get the color you want. Here is one of the most informative websites about hennaing hair: http://www.hennaforhair.com - click on the PDF version of the free book about hennaing hair. This lady did her thesis on this, so this is all correct and up to date and really in depth. It also shows you what chemical dyes do to your hair...

It is kinda messy and takes awhile, but your hair will come out so shiny and glossy and beautiful, henna is really really good for your hair. I just make a day out of it and do a home-spa type thing. It is also really fun to get together with friends and have a day. Read about it, try it, believe me- it is way better than any chemical hair color. Oh, and you can do it over your chemical color and as much as you want, since henna is good for your hair!

To take care of it after you henna it you just wash, brush, and style as usual. Just read the website, it is great! It was where I found out about henna- also, for what it is, it is very reasonably priced!

Try Feria, I think the results are the most natural %26amp; long-lasting. Oh %26amp; switch to Redken or Matrix product. It will make a real difference !!

Dying my hair black. Help.?

I know I keep asking this but I'm kinda worried since I've read quite a few stories about people not getting good results from dying their hair.

Ok well, I've always wanted to dye my hair black, so what I did was I first bought a non-permanent dye (natural black) to see what it would look like on me. It looked good but I was expecting it to be darker. My natural hair color is VERY dark brown, almost black...like the one in this picture with the name of "C-2 Dark Brown":

http://www.hopefashions.com/images/color...

So today, I bought a permanent black hair dye. To be exact, it was this one:

http://www.amazon.com/LOreal-Feria-Hair-...

First question: I'm not planning on doing this but it wouldn't hurt to know. Would it be bad to dye my hair with this permanent one OVER the non-permanent one (mind you, I dyed my hair with the non-permanent only 3 days ago).

Dying my hair black. Help.?

Don't worry about dying it black; most likely you'll need two boxes of dye if your hair is long and/or thick. I know I did!

Temp. dyes always turned out lots lighter than a permanent black dye, so permanent dye won't do that.

Your roots won't be very noticeable unless they're blonde or red or generally really light; my sis has dirty blonde and you can barely tell where the roots have grown and the black dye remains. the roots have grown quite a bit. but my hair is red, and the roots were very noticeable. just dye your roots, it won't ruin your hair to do so.

I recommend Revlon ColorSilk! It's real cheap and it keeps your hair soft and pretty. Plus it works.

I doubt it will have negative effects to use permanent over temp.

Dying my hair black. Help.?

well since your hair color is so close to the color that your permanently putting in your hair i don't believe it will look bad once it grows out. i know that from experience...but i would probably make sure that the temporary dye is out of your hair before you put the permanent dye in your hair b/c the color you bought is REALLY DARK and you don't want it looking purpleish...so i would wait until all the temporary dye is out first. HOPE I HELPED!

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

i want to know if loreal color pulse really comes out completely after 8-10 washes

if not is there anything temporary that will dye the hair but completely come out after like 10 washes

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

Yes it will slowly fade out. The red put in nice highlights when I had my hair dyed red, and came out super red when I was blond. The only problem with the blond was when it faded it started looking pink. I hate pink! So if you're doing something like that you might want to try something else or be prepared to wash your hair alot. You can try a beauty store to see if they have more temporary options.

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

yeah.

i used it.

it came out in like 5 washes.

it smells good too =]

Does loreal color pulse REALLY come out completely?

yes

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

I just used the new Loreal Couleur Expert. (Its 2 steps. Dye allover and then highlight) well the highlights are super orange brassy and I put too many in the front. I used 6.1-cool- light ash brown called French Eclair. The 1-888 Loreal number doesnt work til 9 am Monday. Can I redye my hair today to an allover brown color? Should I wait, I hear there is a 48-72 hour window but not sure if I need to do something before then, during then etc. My hair is fairly healthy I use cond daily and special treatment about 1 to 2 a week.... advise?

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

Normally, you should wait a few days before attempting to recolor your hair. Here's the catch, though: you're really going to need to strip the existing color from the hair before you recolor it. As a rule, color does not "grab" new color well, so you need to strip the color with a color remover (you can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply, or some drugstores) to make the hair ready to take the new color you'd like to dye it. Again, wait a few days so that your scalp can get back to normal. You run the risk of burning the delicate skin there if you do a dye job again too soon (not so much a problem with the hair as the scalp, usually).

Good luck!

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

it all depends on your hair i do mine every 2 weeks and sometimes i try dif things and mess up and have to run right back to the store with a cap on to cover my head..lol im 36 and i have been doing my hair for years it dependas on how strong ur hair is i have thick hair and i have greys now so thats why i do mine so often my hair is soft %26amp; it shines just make sure you condition it good ...and no its not falling out either i hope for the best for you what ever you do dont stip the color from it it will feel like hay

Need to redye hair, how soon can I?

Please heed my advice. I am a licensed professional. You may be making a huge mistake by coloring your hair yourself again. Because you have already colored your hair (peroxide) and highlighted it (bleach) you have altered the chemical structure of your hair. In order to achieve a color now that you will be pleased with, there are more things to take into consideration. Porosity level. Underlying pigment. These elements will make ALL the difference in how your hair turns out. You will be unable to go by the guidelines on a box of color. Trust me, you need to seek a professionals help. You may potentially damage your hair irreparably or end up with a hideous color. It happens constantly: customers come to see me because they didn't want to spend the money for a salon's help, dd it on their own and consequently had to come see me and spend twice as much because color correction is costly and time consuming.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Well me i jump around to lots of shampoo i really don't know which shampoos to use and i just want to stick to one brand what shampoos work for african american hair.

Herbal Essence, Tresemme, Head%26amp;Shoulders, Garnier, ManeNTail, Pantene,Loreal Pro-V,Aussie,Sunsilk, Suave, So what shampoo/conditioner will work for me????

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Check up AVON coz they have lot of advanced techniques for hair-styling and also moisturisers which could possibly help you best. See their new catalogue listed here and set up a date with a professional advisor or shop online at www.avon.com. it will also cost you less.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

suave

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use Infusium 23 Moisturology. It tames my hair and leaves it really soft.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

None of those, honey. Go to your nearest Professional Salon and get KeraCare Hydrating/Detangling Shampoo and Humecto conditioner. The best ever for AA hair.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

it depends on YOUR hair...

personally I like Pantene products.

ask your beautician for advice.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

suave is the best

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Pantene Pro-V is good for all hair types and has a lot of vitamins to keep your hair from getting too dry and protects it from damage. I've even used it after bleaching my hair and didn't have any breaks at all, so i would reccommend that.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I like Pantene Pro-V. It comes in different varieties like, for color-treated hair, etc. A beautician bad-mouthed Pantene to me once, saying it was too slick or something, but I let it go in one ear and out the other. I like Motions moisturizer. It's kinda like Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer, but it's lighter and white. My favorite conditioner is Queen Helene's Cholesterol. You can even leave it in your hair and not rinse it out. I saw a chic with really healthy-looking hair do that. But if you don't want to leave it in, let it heat penetrate (Like with a shower cap or shopping bag twisted tight) for 30 min or so before rinsing out.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use the Dark and Lovely range of products

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I use Creme of Nature shampoo and conditioner. I would suggest speaking to your personal cosmetologist. It also depends on if you have a relaxer or you wear your hair natural. I personally, continue to purchase products over a period of every 2-3 months, just to see what works best for me. But I've seen a lot of Black salons use KeraCare. I stopped using Pantene a long time ago, because I learned that products like it (due to sodium lauryl(eth) sulfate) strip the hair of it's natural oils and over a period of time, can actually do more damage than good. In the sense that you tend to go to your stylist more often than normal. Being that I am natural, I usually try products other people with natural hair are trying, until I find something that I think works best for me. So in a way, you jumping around can be a good thing, but again, be careful of SLS, especially if it's one of the main ingredients in your shampoo.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

I'm white, but my hair is really curly and I love what the Patene for Women of Color did for my hair. Made it softer and bouncier.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Mane 'N Tail, Creme of Nature

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

A shampoo called Joico for dry hair. My mom and I use it and it makes our hair really soft and moisturized. You can get it at Fred Meyer. Pricey, but it REALLY works.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

Acutally Sunsilk. Use the hydra tlc line ((in the pink bottle)). It works wonders on black hair. I would know.

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

When I wore my hair relaxed, I ONLY used Creme of Nature. In fact after using it for several months, I didn't even have to use the conditioner! Now that I wear my hair natural, I don't use shampoo, only conditioner. Aveda has some GREAT conditioners...they are a little $$$$ so when I'm broke I buy the Suave Naturals. Hope this helps!

What the best shampoo/conditioner for african american hair ?

probably pantene it will go good with any one

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying

DO NOT WASH YOUR HEAR FIRST!!

Your scalp needs the oils on it to keep the solution from burning it!!

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

How about you read the directions that come in the box??? Hmmm...never thought of that, did you?

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

should put it on dry unwashed hair then apply leave for approx 25 minutes then wash out and condition

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

I have heard that washing hair before any color job will only lead to the color not sticking.

As said read directions.

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

READ THE DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM...IF IT DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT NOT WASHING YOUR HAIR THAN I WOULD GO AHEAD AND DO IT....BUT IF YOU'RE REALLY NOT SURE THERE SHOULD BE A TOLL FREE NUMBER HAT YOU CAN ALL ANYTIME...GIVE THEM A CALL AND ASK THEM WHAT YOU SHOULD DO AND IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS YOU CAN ASK THEM TO MAKE SURE YOU DO EVERYTHING RIGHT....

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

No, you should always wait 24 hours after washing hair to apply color. Your hair needs the natural build up oils to protect your hair. The color could burn your hair and your hair will turn out frizzy and the ends will be split.

So I am doing loreal natural match.. should I wash my hair and leave it somewhat wet before applying the color

no do not pre wash or use on wet hair. please read the instructions first.

Hey girls .. what u think?

After i had amber highlights and brownish/ dark color, yesterday i colored my hair into habana brown... and the results got into Darker color! i bought this permanent color from Loreal F鑼卹ia... is this a good brand??

and i dye my hair my own (just to see the color i'd got) and i applied Volume Mousse from garnier and my hair is a lil rude now... soft but feels like thicker now... what can i do to get it soft/curl? by the way, my hair is long(at the half of my back layered)..... any idea??

Hey girls .. what u think?

I use to use the L'Oreal brand as well (several years ago). My stylist strongly encouraged me to stop using over the counter hair color and have it done professionally (whether at her salon or somewhere else - but just professionally). She indicated that these over the counter brands can do exactly what you are describing - build up on your hair. This affects how your hair feels and styles.

So my advice is to go to a nice salon - pay the money and have it done right. It will look great. Depending on how fast your hair grows you might only have to go a few times per year. I go 2 -3 times/year since my colorist does such a great job (I get the full head of highlights with some strands left natural - this way it as it grows out - it's not so extreme).

Good luck!

Hey girls .. what u think?

Dip your head in hot boiling water

Hey girls .. what u think?

feria is a hairstylist's nightmare cause it's pretty much impossible to get out of the hair (but at least you know it will stay- weather you want it to or not!). I would not recommend coloring your own hair because: 1) it sounds like your hair is already damaged from coloring. when you are using permanent color (the harshest) from scalp to ends every time you will end up overprocessing the ends of your hair. Permanent color should be applied to roots only.... 2) the results are very unpredictable with home haircoloring because it was not formulated specifically for YOUR hair and the result that YOU want, it was formulated for the general public. so its kinda "hit or miss"

As far as getting soft curl... do you have any natural curl? I would use a 1" to 1 1/2" curling iron ("Hot Tools" is a really good brand). pick up random pieces and alternate curling one clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Start in the middle of the piece you are curling and turn the curling iron until the ends are tucked in between the shell and the barrel of the iron. If you have any natural curl you could mix natural with curling iron curl and shake it together so they blend (it helps sometimes to leave the ends out when you curl your hair so it blends better with the natural curl)

Dying real dark brown hair to a lighter shade?

Ok so i had dyed my hair about a year ago and i decided that i was sick of the light brown/blonde highlights since my hair was looking brittle and dry. I went ahead in a desperate motion and bought a garnier color (cant remember what color) and dyed it darker. at first it looked good but the it began to wash out and i was back in square one. Last night in another desperate motion i went ahead and dyed my hair Loreal #4 .

and now my hair is SUPER dark.. the tips look BLACK almost and the color is all UNEVEN...i look like im wearing a wig!!!! i have no idea what to do and for sure cant afford going to the hair stylist. Any idea what i can do to try and lighten the color atleast a few shades so that i can look normal?

Dying real dark brown hair to a lighter shade?

you did a rather silly thing by colouring over and over your hair, it has now become porous and it will "grab" onto any colour you put onto it making it turn out uneven and much darker than you were hoping for (as you have found out) what you need to do is to use a colour remover to remove all the artificial build-up, try a salon professional product like Goldwell: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLDWELL-colour-ti... you must then use a colour 2 shades lighter than you are hoping for (it will turn out 2 shades darker- hence you will get your perfect colour) at this point stay within the Goldwell range and opt for a colour with a neutral base- it will have an N in the title- for example 6N

Dying real dark brown hair to a lighter shade?

It will go lighter with time .. just like what happened in the first time

Dying real dark brown hair to a lighter shade?

I've had that same problem. It's much easier for your hair to adapt to darker shades from lighter then lighter to darker. I had to learn this the hard way when my hair was light on top and dark on bottom. The problem is you need to wait until the hair dye fades enough on your hair in order to dye it back to a lighter shade. If you can't wait that long you might want to go to the salon and get it professionally dyed. If you don't mind being stuck with a medium shade, medium/ash brown then that will do the trick too.

Dying real dark brown hair to a lighter shade?

The only way to save your hair is to go to a professional, sorry. Otherwise all you could have done was let it grow and and then cut it. Your hair sounds like it's quite damaged and in need of professional help - your just going to keep destroying your hair if you keep torturing it like you've been doing.

Hair dye that doesn't turn hair red!!!?

I'm starting to get quite a few grey hairs so have had to start dying my hair to cover them up :) I have medium to light brown hair naturally and just want a similar shade to my own which isn't too flat (I know medium/light brown hair can look dull). I tried an ashy brown with highlights by Loreal which looked lovely on the packet and this went a nasty reddy/orange colour as it clashes with my skin which can be quite pink :)Can anyone recommend a good med/ligh brown/dark blonde hair dye which won't go brassy/red? Thanks xxx

Hair dye that doesn't turn hair red!!!?

Awh, bad luck!

Try something from "Nice 'N Easy"

Their hair dyes work very well and stays on for ages.

=]

good luck

I have meduim red hair and i want to go blonde will it go brighter red or blonde with loreal dream b

I'm a hairstylist and a redhead and I would not recommend going lighter with a home kit. Red hair can easliy turn orange if it's not done correctly.

I have meduim red hair and i want to go blonde will it go brighter red or blonde with loreal dream blonde?

DON'T DYE IT!!!! omg, do you know how many women would kill for your hair colour?! I think that if you tried to dye it, it would turn kind of brassy looking. Honestly, keep your hair colour, but if you really must change it, then go to a salon and get it done... it'll be worth the few extra bucks!

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

Which lasts the longest for you? I've dyed my hair red with garnier, clairol, and revlon. Yet my hair still fade and turn brown again. Does loreal work well? if not what do you recommend??

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

I use Garnier 100 percent color. My black lasted for a long time! It worked great, I totally recommend for any color!!

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

manicpanic hair dye

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

i use 'brilliance'. or nice'n'easy.

they're both great.

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

go to a salon kiddo

btw

i liek your heeerrr

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

loreal works best out of anything ive used, but i dye my hair black.

however, my hair used to fade back to brown fairly quickly, and after i started using loreal its been four monthes and it hasnt faded at all.

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

For natural colors, I use Clairol hair dye.

For unnatural, I use Special Effects.

Dyes are going to have differents effects on everyone's hair. It sounds like your hair is probably not very porous, which means the hair dye won't "stick" as much as for others.

If you really want a vivid color, you may have to bleach your hair first. I don't necessarily recommend it though, since it will damage your hair.

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

def. go to a salon, but if you MUST by a product i like the nice and easy, and i know its weird but use the gray solution because its works better on hair because its stronger since its meant to cover greys. This type of color tends to hold longer and no fade to brassy colors

Which hair dye brand do you prefer?

Herbal essence, the color is awsome and lasts a really long time

Does anyone know if the loreal super blonde is a compatible pre-lightener to use with a blonde dye a

i want to put some chunks in my hair but have very dark hair, a blonde dye got my hair a golden blonde/brown color but i'd like to try the loreal super blonde before. will this be ok?

Does anyone know if the loreal super blonde is a compatible pre-lightener to use with a blonde dye afterwards?

im not sure but if i was you i would go to the hairdressers and get it done professionally it may be more expensive but its worth not ruining your hair

I'm platinum & want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

My hair is down to my butt. I refuse to go to a hair salon anymore for more reasons then one. I want plumb/red/brown hair. The last time I dyed my hair red, I used temporary dyes by Loreal. The color was beautiful! So I decided this was my color %26amp; I went permanant. I bought a permanent color by Herbal Essence that was exacltly the color I wanted but in tiny print "Not for blonds", but since my hair was a very dark, dishwater, dirty blond, I thought it would be ok. (I even called the co. to verify the consiquences but they didn't tell me my hair would end up Bozo the clown Orange! It took a year to get all the red out of my hair. One hair color specialists said not to use temp. dyes. I want to be able to go back to platinum this comming summer but I don't want to have to go through all that stripping to get the red out. Is there ANYONE out there that knows of a store bought (beauty suppy stores %26amp; on-line stores too) product that will be less trouble when it come time to rid the red?

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

well if you want a temporary color that will wash out in around 10 shampoos use herbal esscences colorflirts. They are sold for around 10 bucks (CDN) I have hair down to the middle of my back and I had enough mousse i coulda used it for at least 2 applications.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

go to a hair salon. truuust me.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

I really don't know cuz I havn't had that problem with temp dyes

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

I got my hair died red recently but a salonist. just go to a salon. it's way easier.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

so what your saying is, you dyed your hair red and it went horribly, horribly wrong, it took you a year to correct it, and now you want to do it again?????????? no matter how temporary a colour is, on platinum blonde hair there will always be a lot of colour that your hair has absorbed. i suggest you just leave it.

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

loreal lesblondess there are only 2 shades light and lighter. I 've done the same thing and can't afford a salon either. OH you will need 2 bottles and it's permanant, but it works

I'm platinum %26amp; want red hair BUT ONLY for season.?

If going to a Salon is not an option then red is not an option for you. Red is one of the hardest colors to accomplish on hair, it is also one of the hardest to color over/repair so if you mess it up you are screwed! Save up some cash and go to the salon.

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

(i straighten it)

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

I've used Johnson's Baby Shampoo on my hair for years... it's so gentle, I love it. Kids shampoos (and conditioners, I'm guessing) are pretty much the same, if not gentler, than the regular adult versions of the products.

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

most shampoos for kids are harsh on adult hair - that's why they're specifically made for kids...

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

Thats fine kids shampoo's are gentle

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

yes its good because it takes out the tiangles and it's better for your hour than some of them out there

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

Yeah I do sometimes It make my hair smell good and its soft:]

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

Theres usually a difference becuase hair matures, as we get older our hair gets oily and gets dirty faster. So as long as you have really nice clean hair it should be fine.

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

Kids shampoos are great!

They are way milder than say normal Loreal and so in fact are much better for your hair which can sometimes suffer from the chemicals in stronger hair products.

My hair just can't handle most shampoos and conditioners so I use kids stuff all the time, it doesn't have to be loreal kids, it can a be a supermarkets own kids products or Johnsons etc.

Hope that helps!

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

It is not very good for your hair if it has a detangling agent, because that is pure wax, which can creat build ups,and leave your hair oily everyday. But if it isn't detangling,it should be absolutly fine. Good luck to you!

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

Well i would recomend it because the older you get the oilier and thicker your hair is . and you would need a stronger shampoo to deal with your hair.

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

try it find out

If i used a kids shampoo and conditioner(loreal kids for example) would that be nice for my hair?

You can try it, but it might not be enough for you since you straighten it. You might need a stronger conditioner. If you are curious try it and see if it gives you enough moisture.

Is Loreal Vive a good shampoo?

phuuuu phulease giv me a break..........its got so many chemicals....sensitive hair cant withstand....a good shampoo coz its recognized .....nowayz its good for hair

Is Loreal Vive a good shampoo?

Loreal Vive Shampoo and Conditioner are good...used over time they condition the hair and re-new the health of your hair.I have used these products for years and because I highlight my hair, I have used that formula and they have restored my hair to softness and manageabiltity, Never heard it contains ingredients that are bad for hair...if that was the case more than half the products on the market would have, too. Loreal is a division of Lancome, Paris...their products are well tested and produced. Loreal make-up (and hair products) is just a competitively priced "version" of the high-end Lancome product.

Is Loreal Vive a good shampoo?

yes L'oreal Vive is the one of best shampoo meant for color treated hairs, As i used this products personally and find good for hairs, smells very pleasant gives shine and body .

After shampoo ,you can try the same conditioner of this brand, will give you excellent results for bad hairs, hairs will became smother and shiny soft .

Is Loreal Vive a good shampoo?

I bought the new ones and I was not pleased at all. My hair felt heavy as if I had glue in it. The old versions are better, especially the ones for colored and damaged hair.

Is Loreal Vive a good shampoo?

yea

Help with a good shampoo for bleach hair?

i have bleached hair and very greasy hair but my hair is damage where it is bleach quite dry and frizzy.i use loreal Elvive caring shampoo for color protect hair but it makes my hair more oily ..it doesnt do any benefit to my hair...i want a good shampoo which makes my hair silky ,soft and which makes my bleach color radiance rather then fedding away what shampoo should i used.?please i need help or is should use a different conditioner? need help please

Help with a good shampoo for bleach hair?

Stay away from the color protected shampoo. You have no color to protect being bleached out. You need a good moisturizing shampoo to put back in the moisture you stripped from bleaching. I really like Dumb Blonde by Bed Head or Ultra Hydrating by Biolage. Hope this helps!

Help with a good shampoo for bleach hair?

Blonde Glam by Redken

Help with a good shampoo for bleach hair?

A soft shampoo to use for "dyed, dried or fried" hair is from Origins, in a tub. I used it a long time ago when my hair was so fried and would hold so much water, after I went from burgundy to blonde (and it had to be stripped twice, then color corrected.) I used that along with Aussie 3 minute miracle for my ends, although since your hair is oily, I would just try the shampoo, since it cleans very gently, and does bring softness back to your hair, and then use a conditioner but only on the ends!

Help with a good shampoo for bleach hair?

dont use the color protected shampoos!!! it turns bleached hair orangy, been there and done that....

i use the Blonde shampoo %26amp; conditioner by John Frieda....it keeps my hair soft and it really brightens your hair and keeps it the color you want.

stay away from any shampoo with brass in it... they make ANTI-brass shampoos anythign that says anti brass or Blonde on it will save the color and save your damaged hair..

also....if you hate spending a lot of money on hair products.... Suave (the really cheap stuff) makes the same exact line of shampoos and conditioners as john frieda... For blondes, brunettes and red heads.... their blonde shampoo works excellent

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

Hi i want to dye my hair tonight bu it says i have to test if i'm allergic or anithing to it before. i have to keep it on for 2 days!!!!! i no quite a few people who have left the tester and had no reaction. should i jus leave it or do it or jus leave it on for a couple of hours. please helpxx

p.s. i am usin loreal hair dye

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

they only ask you to do this so that they can be covered legally

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

There is always a first time for the reaction. Best do the test if in doubt, and the first time useing the product.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

depends on how you'll feel bald, spotty or a head the size of mars lol.

chances are the test will be fine %26amp; you'd have wasted your time - company's like this always advise you to test so that you can't sue them if you ARE allergic.

whatever happens - put a piccy on for us tomorrow eh???

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

I know alot of people who are not alleric to strawberries and eggs but yet people has died and has had a severe allergic reaction to these foods. It`s up to you if you test or not but remember if you dont then you will regret the itcy and annoying rash on your scalp, neck and face and you really wont like it when your eyes swell from a allergic reaction to the dye if you are allergic..

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

Depends on how short your hair is. Sometimes clippling off a long piece helps, but then again you will end up having to mix in the chemicals. They start to go bad if not used up within hours.

Don't mix all chemicals, just whats needed for the test.

I am very allergic most things: food, indoor/outdoor allergies. I have never had a allergic reaction when I used to bleach my hair and put in punk dyes. (pink).

Question yourself, any odd sickness showing up the last few days? Cold or flu? Wait. Other than that just go for it!

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE "T"! Have timer ready, don't bother wearing a shirt or clothing. Use old robe. Put vaseline around your hairline and ears.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

as a beauty consultant you should wait at less 24 to 48hr than wash it off look at the reaction if your skin is not red it is ok patch test is required

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

if uve used loreal hair dyes in the past, no u dont have to do the test, but it is in the best interest to do the test as cant make some people really ill. to be honest with u i never do the test now as ive dyed my hair afew times and has been ok everytime, but i did do the test the first time i dyed my hair! hope that helps and good luck with it.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

If you haven't used that brand before you should do a skin patch test, usually people try a little behind the ear.Its for your own safety. Then in the future you know if u can or cant use that brand.Good luck

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

24 hours should be ample time for the test

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

You Must do a hair test and leave it 48 hours ideally.

It is very silly to just risk doing the dye without a test. Allergic reactions, allow rare, can be devastating so do a test.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

yes do it because you could be allergic

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

even if you have used the breand of hair dye before you should still do the patch test as you can develop an allergy. loreal hair dye left me with a burnt and blistered scalp because i didnt do a patch test. its not nice, do the test

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

Better safe than sorry! If you've used dye before and been ok, chances are you will be fine, but if it's your first time then follow the instructions exactly as they say on the leaflet.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

There is a chemical called 'para' which can cause an allergic reaction. It is found in some hair colours. It can be fatal if you are allergic to it.

Yes, the colour companies are covering their backs but only due to the fact that you may have an allergic reaction. It is quite serious. .

Also. the chemicals in the colours are changed all the time, to save money e.t.c. so you should really do the test every time you colour you're hair.

I have seen a picture of a woman who had an allergic reaction to 'para'. It was not nice at all. You're better folllowing instructions and if redness or itching occurs when you do the test, wash off the patch of colour immediately and do not use the colour on your hair. good luck.

Should i do the hair dye tester??????

if you have had dyed ur hair before u be ok you do nt have to do that and if u do it a 24 hour s u soon know if it not suiting as u feel as if ur head is on fire if this happens wwait for 10 mins and then if it still like this then washit out good luck

Hair Coloring in ten minutes?

Okay, so I am a medium brunette. I always color my hair at home every 6 weeks . I bought a loreal briliant brunettes box that says it lightens brown hair 3 shades and will make my hair a dark blonde. Has anyone ever used this before? I am scared to use it and do not want orange or copper colored hair. UGH....(smile)

Also, I was thinking of just puting it on sections of my hair like highlights . I know I can easily cover up the mess with a brown color afterwards. Any suggestions. ?? Thank you so so much!!

Hair Coloring in ten minutes?

cut a little piece of your hair just a tiny strand and put it on a plate. put the dye on the strand of hair and wait to see if it turns colors. I do it everytime b4 i dye my hair.

Do I need a protein filler???What Does it do?

Okay. I have this situation where my hair is a bit of different colors....my roots are in which is a light brown to medium brown with a light red,the back of my hair is a dark dark red color(from my hair being dyed burgundy black a while ago) and so I was thinking of using Loreal Color zap on the dark red in the back of my hair to lighten it up a bit so I can dye all my hair a pretty auburn color. Do I need a protein filler in the process? What does it do? When do I use it and what tone do I use b/c they have a bunch of different ones.

Do I need a protein filler???What Does it do?

The protein filler is intended to repair damage to your hair from the abuse it has taken from over coloring. Based on what you are saying, it sounds like you'll need it.

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

i lost my instruction booklet for my do-it-yourself loreal hair dye thing! Can anyone tell me how to mix it????? how much of bottle #1 goes with bottle #2

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

Doesent matter. You Mix so much with bottle # 1 and bottle # 2 for however much hairdye you need.

Instructions:

Put however much white solution you need which acts as the dye in the mixing bowl.

Then put about the same amount of the other solution in with the dye and mix it.This acts as the color.

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

put the whole dye into the bottle and mix mix mix and shake shake for about 10mins.

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

all of it

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

from expierence. dont use the at home dye. its really hard on your hair and has some sort of lock so you cant get moisture in your hair. plus from the dye it fries it which will make your hair really nasty and unhealthy looking. ive used it alot and it faded in 2-3 weeks, which means you need to dye it AGAIN. whcih makes it even worse on your hair. if you still wanna dye it, look online or on loreal website

Hair dye? NEED HELP FAST!?

As far as i know you mix all of the bottle with the other one and time how long its in your hair. Im pretty sure no more than 30 minutes in your hair.

goodluck

I have a Very rough and a wavy hair.. Is there any Indian product/home made treatements??

you need deep conditioning .

once in a week after washing your hair cover your hairs with conditioner for dry hair over night.

use live in conditioner like livon etc

you can use Johnson baby hair oil after washing which will give shining to your hair and it will not cause any stickiness as other hair oil does.

there could be hormonal problem like thyroid problem or may be you are taking blood pressure tablets.you can ask some trichologist if problem is severe they can suggest you to take vitamin E orally but for this ask your doctor

I have a Very rough and a wavy hair.. Is there any Indian product/home made treatements??

if you have trouble controlling your hair when styling it, i recommend Proline hair conditioner. its a leave in conditioner that softens and repairs.

the only downside is that it isn't the easiest of products to get your hands on. you may have to find a specialist hairdresser in your area.

hope this helps you.

I have a Very rough and a wavy hair.. Is there any Indian product/home made treatements??

Visit http://nadeems.atspace.com

and there is home remedies link in the articles section, I am sure it will be helpful

I have a Very rough and a wavy hair.. Is there any Indian product/home made treatements??

I have hair like yours too. Try Rusk Deepshine leave in marine conditioner. It makes dry rough hair feel soft. It's a turquoise color and you get it at beauty salons or online.

I hear washing with laundry detergent helps. I've tried it, but other than that, washing it out and not using the shampoo that preserves dyed hair. After a few days, i used my straight iron and that helps fade it a bit too.

How do i fade balck hair coloring??

I know this sounds crazy but it does work. Take a pimple solution a rub it with a tissue on the part of your hair you want to fade. It really works! My friend did it after her hair stylist dyed her hair the wrong color... *oops!*

Hair dye help, dark hair to blonde?

I have died my hair several times, and i would like to be blonde. My natural hair colour is light brown. And the colour i have now won't lift, it is dark brown/black with bright blonde roots. I have the blonde roots because i already had roots of my natural hair colour and I tried bleaching it with Loreal Paris Blonde Supreme box dye. The roots are all that went blonde, the rest of my hair is still dark, lighter than before but still very dark. I cannot afford getting my hair done professionally. If i try a better box bleach like Flash Lightning ( a higher lift), to bleach it, and then dye it with blonde dye on top of that would that work or are there any suggestions. i am freaking out over what to do!

Hair dye help, dark hair to blonde?

You need to strip your hair to get it right

Hair dye help, dark hair to blonde?

you would either have to Bleach it or Strip it either way its really damaging. Hair color will never lift dark hair color.

If I were you, I'd save up some money and get it professionally done before your hair falls out or breaks off.

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

You could get your hair straightened. The chemical they use actually prevents your hair from falling. There's also a possibility that the shampoo you are using has some defects. Just a few months ago, there was something wrong with the shampoo I used coz it made my hair fall more than usual. Then, I changed the shampoo to a totally different brand. My hair does not fall out more than usual now.

YOU MAYBE SHOULD VISIT DR BUT I HAD THE SAME THING USE A MORE NATURAL SHAMPOO AND IT IS KIND ON NORMAL AS WELL MY DR SAID AND IT DOES STOP. I GET IT TWICE A YEAR NOW NO MATTER WHAT SHAMPOO I USE BUT IT GROWS BACK. NATURAL SAMPOO ARE BETTER FOR OVERALL HEALTH HAIR AND SCALP

It obviously isn't safe to continue using that product. But excessive use of hair dye will do that to you. Try using a hot oil treatment that you leave in your hair. I use this and it protects my hair from all the straightening and dyeing I do.

My hair is falling out more tha usual!!! Please Help!?

Check up AVON coz they have lot of advanced techniques for hair-styling and also moisturisers which could possibly help you best. See their new catalogue listed here and set up a date with a professional advisor or shop online at www.avon.com. it will also cost you less.

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

i wanted to know as how long does loreal hair colour stay cause it does not suite me and wanted to use a home made remedy to wash off the hair colour to my natural look pls help me

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

well if you bought permanent then it will stay in there until it grows out or you put color over it. It might fade slightly, but it will be in there permanently. If it was semi-permanent it will fade out with every wash.

If you are trying to get rid of the color quickly I would suggest coloring it again. But do not try to color it a lighter color, it must be darker. If you want it a lighter color then you need go to a professional.

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

Hair colours commonly stay upto 1 month max.after that nearly 75% of it will spade.

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

It depends on that how frequently u washes ur hair

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

if ur applying loreal hair colour, then use loreal shampoo for coloured hair its a red coloured bottle, use it , will work , my hubby also faced the same problem with normal shampoo, then he switched over to loreal shampoo for coloured hair %26amp; it worked 4 him

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

it depends what kind u get...people say permenet last until ur hair grows out but it doesn't it fades like i used permenet blonde hair dye and its fading after like 2 months....but semi-permenet only last for a little over a month depends wat color ur hair is and what color your wanting to dye it

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

it depends on d colour n type

How long does hair colour stay in u r hair?

one month ....

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the bl

I have about two or three inches of my natural color grown out and wonder what would happen if I stripped out all the black. What if it mixes in with my "roots"? What if it touches my scalp? I bought that Loreal Hair dye removal kit but I'm not sure if it's gonna work out. Gonna try it tomorrow morning with my friend playing hair stylist. We are gonna dye over it that same day. I know it's crazy but I'm a college student with Noooooo money for a pro job! Will it work? I have about 4 layers of black hair dye in there! Will the Strip job with the remover work out okay?

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I have no idea...but you can try laundry detergent. It worked for me. :]

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

i have no idea

but i say dye yur hair again. even the same colour as yur normal hair just to be safe,

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

After you do that all I can say is deep condition the fcuk out of it your hair will be so dry! Also don't use any blow dryers, curling irons or anything like that on your hair for a while.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

It'll be fine. If it doesn't strip all the black out, just buy another box of it.

Color remover is seriously my best friend haha.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

When it comes to you hair and color, I firmly believe you should let a professional take care of it. You don't want to take any chances of ruining your hair or it's texture. Find out how much a really good color specialist will charge to take the black out. Save until you can do that and don't mess with it yourself. I realize you are a college student, but I truly think it's worth the wait. One suggestion would be going to a beauty college if there is one close by. They are so much more affordable.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I had the same situation a few months ago.what you need to do is go to a salon and let them do it.if not then you can seriously damage your hair or make it turn a nasty orange shade.I understand you dont have a lot of money but try going to a academy to get it done.Like for example I went to the Toni %26amp;Guy school where the students in training are.It is way cheaper than the actual Toni%26amp;Guy salon.Or Paul Mitchell has a school too.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

IT WILL NOT STRIP OUT THE BLACK... MY MOM OWNS A SALON AND CHARGES 150.00 HR TO STRIP OUT BLACK! AND IT TAKES A MIN. OF 3 HOURS.. PLUS YOU CANNOT RE-DIE YOUR HAIR THE SAME DAY YOUR HAIR WILL NOT HOLD COLOR... TO GET OUT BLACK YOU HAVE TO STRIP ALL THE PIGMENT OUT OF YOUR HAIR WHICH BASICALLY MAKES IT STRAW NOW IF YOU HAVE REALLY STRONG HAIR IT MAY HOLD A LIGHT BROWN AFTER STRIPPING IT... BUT IF YOU DONT WANT YOUR HAIR TO BREAK OFF AND LOOK LIKE **** YOU MUST GO TO A SALON OR JUST LET IT GROW OUT!! THOSE ARE YOUR ONLY CHOICES... AND BY THE WAY DONT EVER ****** USE BLACK AGAIN!!!!!

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not do that it will turn orange and good luck dying over the ucky orange that it comes out to be also you may damage your hair so bad it breaks off LIKE ALL OF IT that is black and you will still not have the outcome you want.

Go to a beauty school it is cheaper

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

I agree with KoolKat.

Nothing really good comes out of stripping the color out of your hair especially if it has been chemically treated that many times. Coloring over it will not really solve the problem either since black would be very hard to lift out of there.

I dyed my hair black more than a year ago and am too impatient to let it grow out and cut out the black...?

Try to keep the remover just on the black dyed hair until it has enough time to totally process, it takes time so be patient. It has about seven stages to go through depending on the colour you want to end up with you have to decide before you apply the remover. For example if you are going for your natural hair color you have to lighten up to that level or lighter then color it after so it will look good and not too brassy. Its complicated. good luck!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

hey, 19 y/o male with thick naturally medium/light brown hair. i dyed it black to bring out my melanin in my skin. im mixed with east Indian, Italian, n white. i had my hair black from this loreal dye i got at cvs last week, and the dye was labeled as permanent dye. i carefully read the directions, n let the dye soak up in my roots for the amount of time required, 25mins. i followed the directions, n rinsed out the dye with cold water, like it said. i also applied the color lasting conditioner right after dying my hair, n followed the directions about applying the conditioner once a week. i used it maybe 3 times since i dyed it, and its been like 9 days since i dyed it...maybe 2x, not sure. i also been usin color treated shampoo wheneva i wash my hair. i askd my mom about it and she said the color always fades a lil afta dyin hair, but i can already see my natural roots startin to come in! i use a lil hair gel daily, is that possibly the cause? how do i keep da color intact?

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

The color always almost fades a little when you color it.

The best you can do is use a shampoo %26amp; conditioner for colored hair.

Also, your roots are coming in cause your hair is growing. You just need to redye the roots black. :)

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Hair grows! As it grows out it looks like your color is leaving. Also you should go to a professional colorist at a salon. The dyes they use are much better and don't fade as fast!

Black and red do fade the quickest!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

hun black comes out so fast its not funny. whenever i go get my roots done,(my hair is blonde, black underneath and pink bangs)they always have to redo the black. i go everymonth!! but youll prolly just have to re-dye it frequently.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

make sure u buy a glaze to put over your colour!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Hair color fades. Every time water hits your hair, yuor cuticle opens and lets anything in it escape regardless of the color. It sounds like your doing everything i do when i color and recomend to my clients, but if you are TRULY seeling roots, like u can see a little bit of your natural color peeking through at your roots, your hair just may grow fast babe and your actually seeing your roots.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Use a root touch up -

you didn't hear this from me, but tanning salon, tanning salon, tan tan tan tan tanning salon, you can get cancer from the tanning salon, damn it looks good though

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

i dyed my hair black and i just dont wash it as much so the color doesnt fade

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

It is natural process. More during summer months. Dye fade away faster.

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

Maybe it was just a cheap dye! Hair gel also does help it fade, it use to happen to me so I stopped using it. I dye my hair all the time- because I have hot pink and purple so it fades quite fast too. I avoid using hot water and too much shampoo. Use alot of conditioner to keep your hair healthy. Leave the dye in longer than 25 minutes to make sure your hair absorbs the dye, at most 1 hour. Use heat from blow dryer to intensify the color.Try Manic panic, special effects, or punky colour dyes. You can find them at Sally's beauty supply stores or online. Look on ebay. Well, they all last a pretty long time! Wear gloves it gets messy and very hard to get off of surfaces O.o You'll learn your own tricks over time as you continue dying your hair- goodluck!

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

well i dye my hair black and im a natural blonde and it takes awhile for my roots to show and everytime i dye it i use Loreal blue black hair dye. i dont know why yours came out so quickly tho. did you wait two days to wash your hair? bc ur not supposed to wash it for two days. Hmm.maybe you should get another box and dye your hair the same way you did and wash it after dyeing it then DONT wash it for 48 hrs. the only time my hair ever did that was when i used garnier blue black and since then i used loreal try blue black it looks reallly cute, and no its not blue just a dark dark black =)

I dyed my hair black last week, n the color's already fading!?

mens hair usually have more natural oils than women which repel colour also on your natural colour you need a black that compliments you natural colour e.g. a red black for med brown/rust coloured hair or a blue black for blond hair, these will keep in your hair longer I am not a fan of loreal because they tend to fade quickly and are dull colours try clairol nice and easy if you want it to be permanent, they have a jet black.

Does Loreal Color Zap take away all coloring including your natural color?

I've been trying to remove semi-permanent hair dye, and its a darker dye. I bought loreal color zap and as i was reading the timing chart it said that the underlying or "base" color will be orange/red... does that mean it will turn my entire head orange? My hair is naturally auburn but will it turn it orange?

Does Loreal Color Zap take away all coloring including your natural color?

Use Color Fix. They carry it at Sally's.

I have used this a few times. It is best on clean damp hair. Don't put in any gel or hair sprays prior to use. Once you are done putting in the color and waiting, rinse it out. Then put in your gels and other stuff you normally use and style it like normal. If you have unclean hair or dry hair the hair strands won't be able to absorb the dye as well, but I am sure it will still work ok. I hope that helps.

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

It works much better on damp hair, I'm not really sure why, but I've done both and the color is much more vibrant on damp hair.

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

your hair has to be DRY!!! if you put it on damp hair , the color would not look good

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

i haven't heard of this...but would be interested...is it a permanent color or what?

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

Your should apply the mousse on dry hair that hasn't been washed in 24-48 hours. The color comes out much more vibrant.

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

LOREAL USES ANiMAL TESTiNG!

Hey I Have A Question About Loreal Color Pulse!!?

it turns out better on damp hair, it smoothes out, and the color is more even.

GO DAMP!

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Lor

Will it really make a difference in my hair? I have heard that it makes no difference no matter what shampoo/conditioner you use.

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

its true. the only difference between shampoos is the scents and the packaging. nothing else

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

are you happy with it, if you are then problem solved

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

I disagree.. The products that are sold at drugstores get no bonus points in my book! Im a licensed stylist and I will only use professional products... Alot of store bought brands are high on the pH scale alkaline (causing dryness etc) or they are very waxed based and cause buildup! Im not sure what product you were using before but if you need some suggestions I would be glad to help! I used Loreal way before I even went to highschool and definatley not a fan! Maybe im biased because Im a cosmetologist!

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

There's really no big difference. A lot of of shampoo/conditioner you find anywhere pretty much works the same as the expensive stuff..

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

If the shampoo is ph balanced you are good to go!

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

I remember the days when I used to go get a haircut (been a while, as you can see) that a stylist would ask what shampoo I used. I would tell her, then she went on a diatribe about how it gives wax buildup, it's the same stuff used to wash your car, etc.. And then the sales pitch for Paul Mitchell or whatever was on the shelf. And it was always much more than store-bought. Bet these stylists make a nice fat commission on each bottle, eh?

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

You're absolutely right...cheap shampoos and conditioners work just as well as the expensive ones, if not better. Not to mention...I used to work in a hair salon and often got products for free...They were such garbage and it wasn't just one brand, it was a few different brands.

To Nikki above...Comparing store bought products and salon products...I'm going with the store bought ones. And you're quite wrong about the buildup. That's all I ever had in my hair when I used salon products. It's kind of like...A%26amp;F clothing. They're expensive, but their quality is about as good as the quality you would get in a thrift store, Walmart or KMart. The reason it's expensive and "worth it" as some like to think...The TAG. If there's a big name on something, chances are it's going to have a big price as well, but not so much when considering the quality.

I find that even Suave is a really good shampoo and conditioner, as well as their products. I'd buy them over Matrix and Redken any day! In fact...I have Garnier Fructis in a conditioner...I cannot believe how crappy it is. $6 for a little tiny bottle and it does the complete opposite of what it says. Now I have a bigger bottle os Suave for $2 and it DOES everything it says, it doesn't leave my hair staticy, built up and dry like Garnier. So to the person below that said Garnier was best...I'm afraid you are wrong.

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

Gonna have to say it makes a big difference in the way your hair feels...I am sure they all clean the same but Loreal and Suave left my hair feeling "gunky"...try Pantene or something in that price range...not as expensive as salon products but leaves your hair w/ less of a "build-up" feel

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

I like Herbal essences...It's pretty cheap, but they have a lot of different shampoos with really good scents and stuff. They also have it with all different types like colored, curly, or in need of body (like mine!) and it's only like $4 a bottle and each one has a matching conditioner, you can get it at target or any place like that. Good Luck...oh- pick one that you really like becuase it works incredibly well.

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

I don't think it matters what kind of shampoo/conditioner u use. I've used different types of shampoos all my life and my hair doesn't seem to change much. When I used Garneir Fructis (however you spell it) it made my hair just a little bit of what it said like shinny it made my hair just a little bit more shinny but loreal should do really good no matter what kind of hair you have i used it even when i was a kid! (the kid stuff that don't burn ur eyes)but even when when i used the other loreal shampoo/conditioner it did really well on my hair so i do't think it will make a big difference really take my advice!! will u mark mine as best answer?

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

I'm fortunate to have good hair. I too tried the expensive shampoos like Arbonne and can't tell any difference between it and Pantene or Catwalk shampoo. Maybe I'll try Loreal next. lol lol

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

Sally Beauty Supply offers generic brands of lots of higher-priced products. The chemical contents are exactly the same as the more expensive counterparts....without the brand, at about 1/2 or less price.

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

Just make sure that it's pH-balanced. It's usually a good idea to change up your shampoo every now %26amp; then anyhow since your hair will get so used to one shampoo that that shampoo then becomes less effective (much like using the same medicine over and over will reduce its effectiveness, as viruses will get used to it and mutate to resist it).

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

Some shampoos I've tried, from best to worst:

Herbal Essences

John Frieda Sheer Blonde

^Best^

Garnier Fructis

Redkin

Pantene Blonde Expressions

Mane N Tail

Loreal

^Okay^

Pantene

Suave

^Worst^

I love Herbal Essences. I use the body building shampoo and conditioner and volumizing mousse. It really coats my hair and makes it soft and managable, not stringy and stiff.

I've always bought expensive shampoos, but am now sick of wasting the money, I am now using Loreal?

i just heard on tv that almost all products on the shelf are ph balanced.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

I like long hair but my hair doesn't grow prpoperly they r rough dull %26amp; no shining.I use loreal hair colour,i eat healthy diet.

plz suggest so tht my hair will grow fast?

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

On the inside, try this: Biotin, which you can buy @ GNC. Biotin helps hair and nails grow faster.

Outside: You need some good conditioning! Buy some Hask Placenta protein treatment, available @ Sally Beauty, follow directions, using maybe once a week. Also buy some Biolage Smoothing Conditioner, and use it only on last 1/3 of hair shaft to the ends, never on roots, once or twice a week %26amp; leave it on 3-5 minutes, then rinse out. Also, try a clear color, which gives shine to hair. Use it after you use your regular color, but not on the same day, it can remove your color. Also, I have to ask: are you using permanent color? Permanent color dries more than demi/semi permanent color. You need permanent color if you are covering gray or lightening up your natural color- if you are not doing either of those, then switch to a demi or semi permanent color. They are more conditioning and less drying! Even if you do this, still follow the regimen I suggest above, because your hair will remain damaged until it grows out and is cut off; you need to do all you can to protect it. Hope it helps!

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

coconut oil.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

home made

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

I think you should try fructis

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

you can use coconet oil and shikakai hair shampoo for long and healthy hair.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

I ALSO HAVE LONG HAIR, VERY FINE. I KEEP IT COLORED AND IT IS NOW PERMED. SO THAT MAKES IT DRY.

I USE GARNIER FRUCTIS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. IT KEEPS IT HEALTHY, SHINEY AND GIVES IT A FULLER LOOK. I ALSO USE THE GARNIER FRUCTIS SLEEK AND SHINE.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

Hot oil massage with steam will definitetly improve the texture of your hair.Take vitamin suppliments at least for a month.Use shampoo meant for extra damaged and thin hair.Use additional conditioner after every shampoo.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

Pantene is a very good shampoo - and after you shampoo use a deep conditioner put a cap on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse. Also have the dead ends cut off and i'm sure you'll see a difference!!!

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

I also use Pantene for dry/color treated on my long hair. I'm sure you already do this, but really deep condition after you wash. Those dry ends aren't going to get better....so just keep it trimmed every 8 weeks or so. I've tried the others (fructis, tresemme, Biosilk, etc.) and it seems that Pantene still works the best for me.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

I have the same problem, %26amp; it can be stressful - it used to have me almost screaming at the bathroom mirror in the morning, scaring my fiancee half to death, lol.

Mane %26amp; Tail, found at almost any drugstore, is helpful. It's always made my hair extremely strong, %26amp; the price isn't bad at all. (Maybe $5 from what I remember). The rumor is that it does help your hair grow faster!

If you're willing to spend a little extra, you should try Satinique products if your hair is lacking in shine. Try the Hair Repair Masque. It makes my hair shiney, vibrant %26amp; extremely healthy looking... I love it! It's about $14.40, but its worth it! You can use it weekly, or as needed. You can find it here:

http://cstarr.qbeautyzone.com/products/p...

For an added boost, you might want to try Nutrilite Complex for Hair, Skin %26amp; Nails. It's a once daily vitamin, %26amp; people can actually see the difference in my hair. I actually feel like it's growing 3x faster than normal... which is great because I had a shoulder length cut, %26amp; now I'm going for long hair. It also helps your nails become strong, %26amp; your skin look great. So added benefits!

http://cstarr.qbeautyzone.com/products/p...

Always get your hair trimmed at least every 6 weeks to get those dead ends cut off. It also helps hair grow healthy %26amp; longer, faster. Don't overprocess your hair - dying too much, using straightening irons, etc. It makes your hair weak %26amp; brittle. Plus, never use too many styling products either. They also cause your hair to break easily, %26amp; the build up won't allow your hair to grow correctly. If you are using products, be sure to use a clarifying shampoo once a week as well to remove that build up.

For added moisture %26amp; shine, I read once that actually putting mayo in your hair for 15 minutes will give your hair a boost. Tried it, as gross as it sounds - it works!! Haha.

Well, I'm done rambling. Hope this helps!

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

Using the hair colour is also a cause of hair problems. To increase your hair growth you must massage your hair with some oil like olive oil, coconut oil etc. Oiling the hair and massaging them gives strength to our hair.moreover you can use some herbal methods also for your hair .You can use

curd, lemon on your hair. These will strengthen your hair and make them shiny.Always use a good herbal shampoo Or you can use a mixture of amla powder, shikakai powder along with reetha powder, all these mixed in curd,to wash your hair .To make your hair shiny .after every hair wash use lemon juice mixed in water on your hair %26amp; RINSE ,it will add shine to your hair

The chemicalized shampoos only wash our hair like a soap does .they don't make our hair healthy.so,always use herbal shampoos please .....

Oil your hair regularly. Applying Olive oil helps your hair grow faster and also helps in thickening of hair. Hair oil massage really helps if u do it once in a week. The best hair oil theraphy is to add few methi seeds to coconut oil and warm it up a lil and then apply it to ur hair. This is the best and helps to curtail intense hairfall. Its good when you apply this mixture to ur hair in the night and wash it off next morning. This really works and is very effective and also helps in regrowth of hair. Condition ur hair as frequent as possible. Applying henna to ur hair is the best conditioner. Make it convenient to apply once in 15days. Avoid exposure of hair to the harmful UV rays.

Plz suggest some excellent hair shampoo for dry damaged thin hair?

try this next time u wash ur hair dont use too much shampoo coz it tends to stay there and makes the hair appear to be dry so use little shampoo and rinse more than u think u need and u can also use conditioner after u was ur hair it helps and after washing ur hair u can put a leave in conditioner

What do you think of Loreal Preference?

What do you think of the new Loreal Preference "Les True Brunettes" brand? I have dark hair and when I used Revlon Colorsilk, I did NOT get the results promised =/ I'm hoping to try Loreal but I need some opinions first. Thanks.

What do you think of Loreal Preference?

I colour my hair at home all the time, and I have found that almost all home colourants will look darker on you than they will on the packet..... and not all of them offer the 100% grey coverage they promise....not that I have any of course, lol. I didn't particularly care for Loreal Preference..... the only one I will use now is Schwarzkopf Revital Colour....my second favourite is Clairol Nice %26amp; Easy.

What do you think of Loreal Preference?

It is ok.

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i

what can i do to make it really blond? i don't like it orange....

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

I did exactly the same thing to my hair...nothing you yourself can do will fix it. The best advice I can give is go to a professional.

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

Go to a hair salon and get your hair stripped... or try to dye it at home... but i would go to the salon

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

go buy BLONDISSMAS!!!!!!DO THAT THEN PUT A BLOND HAIR DYE ON AFTER!!

I used that loreal chunking highlight to color the bottom ends of my hair, now its orange. how can i blond it?

You can go over it with bleach again. just be very careful!!!

Do not leave the bleach on for long, just until you get the color you would like. Make sure to use alot of deep conditioning treatments to help repair your hair.

Hey guys.. im a lebanes dude but with indian hair.. its long and str8, which shampoo gud loreal or p

Neither of those are my favorite, but I would pick Loreal products over Pantene. Pantene products are quite heavy on hair and you'll need a clarifier shampoo if you use it to much. I also don't care much for the ingredients they put in pantene. It take the natural oils from your hair.

Hey guys.. im a lebanes dude but with indian hair.. its long and str8, which shampoo gud loreal or pantene??

PANTENE ALL THE WAY!!!

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

My hair is very dry... and it's falling ! I need ur help.. I used Loreal but It's not good for me!

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

NOOOOOOOO do not your pantene, its not at all good for your hair, it coats it in a type of plastic that gives the impression that its soft and silky and shinny when in fact the actual hair is just as damaged as ever underneath it all. Im afraid to say it but cheap shampoos like L'Oreal and pantene are no good for anyone, you have to spend a bit of money to get healthy hair. Head and shoulders is a really good clarifying shampoo as it literally strips the hair but i wouldn't use it as your regular shampoo as its to harsh.

The best advise I can give is buy some shampoo and Conditioner from you local hair dresser's (you don't need to go to the tony and guys of this world - just your local one will be fine) and get there recommendation. Its a myth that they are blagging you to buy the most expensive, they will give u some good advise.

But if you didn't want to go to the hair dresser's I recommend tresemme and the boots natural range, try to change your shampoo every week or so (you dont need 100s just 2 or 3 different type that u can alternate with each week)

Hope this helps!!

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

Pantene....very good.

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

I have the same problem and my hairdresser said to try Dove. He said it's great and inexpensive. I'm going to buy it to try.

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

pantene...

its real good.

my hair has been really healthy since.

no fallings,breakings and over drying.

use it with the conditioner.

you'll be amazed by the immediate results.

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

U can use Head n shoulders shampoo or pantene shampoo and for conditioner u can try Garnier Ultra Doux (Lemon and olive oil). All these really work.

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

I've had the best luck with the new Clairol Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo in Coconut. It leaves your hair very soft and smells great!

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

You sound like you need hair help! OK well I recomend Head And SHoulders to you for a shampoo, and then another type of brand (pantene, herbal essences, hairapy...etc) for the coditioner. THats what my friend does, and she has the most prettiest hair EVER! I also recomend Dove because It repairs hair and leaves silky strands. (Ive used it) Another good brand is probally..........a hairdresser brand. Go to the hair dresser (a salon would be better, or a beauty supply store) and ask the people there what would be the best way to go with your hair. That way they can get a veiw instead of just a discription and give you the best recomendation. Tell us what you do in the end! g'luck

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

sorry but there is no such thing as a good shampoo at the end of the day they are all made of the same stuff, just different names.

What is the Best Shampoo and Conditioner?

i had also gone through this problem...but when i switched to pantene green it really work try it!

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner.

you manage split ends by getting regular trims. adding oils and conditioners temporarily covers them, but they are back as soon as you wash your hair. so get regular trims. also split ends can travel length of the hair shaft. making hair easily tangled and frail.

covering them is temporary. plus trims look nice too.

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

All you can do is get a trim about every 2 weeks. And remember that split ends mean that your not taking good care of you're hair, like you're suppose to, trying easing off the the stylers

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

You can not 'fix' split ends, you can only prevent them. Get your hair trimmed often and you will be pleasantly surprised how fast and beautiful your hair will grow.

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

One word. Haircut. Split ends don't mend, they just weaken your hair shaft so they it starts to split further and further up your hair. Little trims at more frequent intervals really can help you grow your hair and have it look healthy and strong.

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

get it trimmed every 6-ish weeks, don't try to cut it yourself, and if you straighten or blow-dry, use a heat defence spray. *REMEMBER: prevention is better than cure!!*

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

hair cut every month. At least 1/2" or whatever is necessary. stay away from over styling (ironing, flatironing , blowdrying, sun, tanning beds) as much as you can and use a protective serum when using these things.

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

I agree with all the other answers you need to get your hair cut. Nothing drastic, just tell them you want them to cut off all the dead ends and they will be gone in no time.

How do i manage d split ends in my hair? oiling, hot water towel, mild shampoo n loreal conditioner..all done?

jus try to trim them regularly n trust me the problem is solved
